I keep pricing here super low as a reflection of Buddhist service to sentient beings in need of peace and safe haven. Meditation onsite. I love to cook for people especially if it's a group. It'll usually be vegan chili con carne and skillet cornbread, Korean chajangmen, or some tasty variety of Asian seasoned vegetable soup with homemade bread. I am ovo-lacto vegetarian except in cases of hunting guests offering their own catfish, bass, venison, boar or turkey, in which case I fire up the bbq and get busy, because hunters are essential for environmental preservation. The fire ring is available for traditional cast iron cooking.
Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome if they're trained, you clean up after them, keep them leashed around guests and kenneled at night. I have 2 small dogs and I can kennel them on request.

The kitchen offers a mini fridge, microwave, hot plate, and convection toaster oven for preparing simple meals. I provide coffee, tea, and a few simple snacks. There is a French press for coffee and an electric kettle for boiling water.
The bathroom has a small shower and toilet. Towels and toiletries are provided, and if there’s anything you forgot to pack for your trip, don’t hesitate to ask!
Wi-Fi is available. The TV is set up for streaming Netflix, Prime Video, etc.
The outdoor space has a picnic table and a hammock for lounging. Guests are welcome to cook out on the gas grill and use the outdoor fire pit. S’mores, anyone?
I hope you enjoy your tiny house experience. It’s the perfect getaway for solo trips, friend trips, or a romantic weekend with your favorite person.
If you are traveling with a sports rack on your vehicle, you are welcome to take the green kayaks out for the day (as long as they are secured and safely strapped to your vehicle).

Close to where the camper is located, you can find a picnic area and pavilion with a propane grill, fire ring and plenty of firewood.
The swimming pool is open on sunny days from Memorial weekend until Labor Day.
Fisherman can find a fish cleaning station and beautiful pond with a lot of fish and turtles.
Camper is not even 3/4 mile from the lake. Restaurants, a gas station, Dollar general, Old Country store with delicious ice cream, coffee, homemade jars of jams and more are within one mile driving distance.
The Land Between the Lakes offers an Elk and Bison Prairie, many hiking and biking trails, fishing, boat ramps, Turkey Bay off road vehicle trails and more.
Enjoy the outdoors, relax and recharge. Take a break from technology, we currently don't offer TV or Wi-Fi. Games are available per request, no additional charge. You can also rent a stand-up paddle board or bring a boat, golf cart or ATV - we have plenty of parking spaces.

At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. There is an outdoor sink and small tankless hot water shower head, gravity fed by a water tank on the hillside. You will also find an RV toilet behind the cabin under the awning.

The treehouse is located about 50 yards down a trail from the main house. Stone steps lead up the hillside to the porch entrance. The “outhouse” is eco-friendly—a composting toilet located on the front deck. On the back deck, you can relax to the sound of a trickling spring, or enjoy the heated outdoor shower (available March–November; rates are discounted 20% during the off-season). For indoor washing, a five-gallon glass pitcher with a bowl serves as a rustic sink.
Sleeping is in the loft, up a steep staircase ladder, with a queen bed and lush linens. While not ADA-accessible and not suited for those needing special assistance, the setup is perfect for adventurous, able-bodied guests seeking a unique stay.
There are two other homes on the property, both occupied, but everyone respects each other’s privacy. No one will come to the treehouse during your stay. The owners live onsite in the main house and are available if you need anything, but will otherwise give you complete space.
The path to the treehouse is lit at night, but it can get very dark on the road—so bring a flashlight just in case.

My favorite part was listening to bigfoot recordings from 1975 on the provided cassette tapes while sitting around the fire. We had an amazing stay and felt completely spoiled. It was the perfect mix of nature and comfort. We loved having our own bathroom, a mini kitchen area with microwave and refrigerator, and a coffee maker. My son and I really enjoyed the hiking trails, the community fire pit, and cooking meals on the community grills. The outdoor heaters under the kitchen shelter and the solar lights throughout the campsites were such a nice touch.
What impressed me most was how thoughtfully stocked everything was. We packed essentials like firewood and toilet paper, but they truly had it covered: septic-safe toilet paper, fresh towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, washcloths, trash bags, and even s’mores ingredients. We were welcomed with a fresh-cut rose and extra bedding for the futon, which made it feel extra special.
My son’s favorite part was pumping the well water for the community kitchen and using the fire pit skewers. We also loved the mini porch and back deck at the tent. No mosquito or bug issues at all. The only downside was no hot tub during our stay, but overall this was a wonderful experience and we’d absolutely come back.

We stayed on a very cold night, and the tent stayed pretty warm. Our favorite part was the hot tub; it was a dreamy atmosphere tucked in the woods with string lights overhead. We grilled our dinner, ate in the tent and enjoyed the campfire. My husband and I stayed one night and truly enjoyed this nice getaway!

1 night at The Happy Camper At Hickory Hollow
This was a very fun stay! Super cozy! We were only stopping by for a quick rest however this would make a great base camp to explore, all the decor and enmities were very well thought out and curated for the artsy mind with great touches of hospitality. Honestly would stay again and seek this quiet spot out. We were last minute getting there and late/early to leave and the host Todd was very polite and responsive. If you’re thinking about it, book it!

We absolutely loved the Bee Cabin! We will definitely be back! The smell and the cleanliness were absolutely amazing when we first walked through the door. The beds and extra room is super spacious! You will not want to spend any time indoors because of the hammock and fire ring!

We had the best time at Sacred Dog Ranch this past weekend and feel like we made lifelong friends with Lisa and Gary. Our dog, Sage, played with his fellow Dal new friends, my daughter rode Fancy the gorgeous horse and we felt like instant family. It’s right outside Nashville and remote enough we didn’t feel like we were in a cookie cutter suburb. Lisa was so welcoming and generous with her authentic self. My kids and I loved our visit and will be back.

Such a wonderful stay at the Happy Camper! Loved the colorful decorative touches! I found the property very peaceful with every amenity you could want for a fun glamping getaway. The firepit and front porch areas are spacious. The space has several sleeping areas and would be such a fun getaway for a family or group of friends. My bed was very comfortable. I also adored the outdoor shower which was clean and worked great. Can't wait to come back!
