Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them.
We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge.
We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. We have firewood for sale for $20 per stay and is an extra option when booking(use what you need during your stay and it is centrally located near bath houses) you can bring your own and you are welcome to gather from the surrounding area but please do not cut down any living trees/limbs.
There is a centrally located community building with a Wifi hotspot, streaming TV, Keurig, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster/air fryer, swing set, foosball table and darts.

Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days, and mobile AC. ELVIRA has a window AC unit and heating with small unit. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system, in the future. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the very near future, fiber internet being installed mid July 2025. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. The tent camping on top of the hill was absolutely perfect! Loved the views waking up every morning and the gentle mooing from the cows. Natalie and her husband supplied me with more than enough firewood (that burnt very well) for the couple cold nights and the cookie shack was an awesome added bonus. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the river gorge area or visiting bourbon country as they’re both just a short drive.

One of my favorite camping trips I've ever taken with Hipcamp! The host was the most accommodating and gracious host I've ever had, full stop. The property is gorgeous and the sites are spread out enough that it feels secluded and private. The facilities that were available were clean and stocked. Everything was 5 star worthy!

Lovely, well-kept, and affordable little backyard campground with fun themes for each site. Morning views were very much worth leaving my tent’s rainfly open and letting in the unexpected fog and dew :)
The location of the campground is very close to a small town, but it felt much quieter and more remote than that considering the expanse of farmland around.
If I am ever back in town (which I really hope to be), I would love to come back!

Our second stay! Once during Fall and this time Winter. We hope to visit again in all the seasons because each season has something unique to offer in these beautiful hills. Even in 30 degree weather of December, we arrived to a toasty warm cabin all lit up for us. Once we got settled for bed, we turned off the generator and stayed warm all night. (We did add our sleeping bag on top of the mattress just in case.) There's always firewood to enjoy an outdoor fire, coffee, and games/coloring for kids, lots of woods and creek to explore, and it's so peaceful and private! Cabin and outhouse are super clean! I highly recommend even in the Winter. Tip: if you stay when it's freezing, the shower may not be on- just ask, and I would bring the outdoor hand washing water inside the cabin at night so it's not freezing cold the next morning. We take a portable power bank with us to charge phones so that we don't have to turn on the generator for that. We don't have phone service there, but you don't need it. Unplug! There's wifi you may be able to connect to closer to his driveway or he's the type of host you could knock if you're having a real emergency. There's a restaurant gas station very close by with food and Wifi. The hosts are incredibly kind, fun, friendly people, generous also because with their price, really don't make money on this to justify the work involved. They just like sharing their slice of heaven as a gift! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do and take good care of it!

We loved our tent camping experience on Sarah's land. She was super responsive on any questions we had. There were a ton of little touches in the glamping tent that made it so nice, like games, extra blankets, extra toiletries, a mini fridge and a microwave. Being able to see the animals each day and having such a picturesque area was great. It was very peaceful.

The space was as described, complete with howling coyotes, raccoons the size of small toddlers and severed heads (not real!) on sticks at one site that was adjacent to us that starkly contrasted with the theme of Happy Days…. but we did leave in a bit of a daze after a cold night spent sleeping here under the stars! Bonus points for the beautiful yellow fungi growing out of the picnic table and traffic/train sounds throughout the night 🥴

Possum Ridge Ranch is amazing. We camped at Oak Ridge and loved the site. We also explored a bit and walked down to Little Falls which was beautiful. Liz was very nice. The bath houses are clean and a nice surprise while camping. Would definitely recommend and camp here again.

Liz is an amazing host. She came out to visit us and answered all of our questions. The space was a perfect spot for our hammocks. It is quiet and peaceful. There is firewood on site to purchase.
