The community fire ring is close enough to enjoy with other campers, but not to close that we could hear anyone in our cabin. Amber and Michael checked on our needs many times during our stay. They hosted a chili cook-off that we greatly enjoyed and passed out candy to all the kids. Overall a great time and experience. We will stay here again."

Property is 15 minutes south of Cincinati, close to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), close to restaurants and attractions such as Kings Island (approximately 1 hour), Creation Museum (approximately 25 minutes) and The Ark (approximately 25 minutes). Also nearby are several state parks and local favorites such as Big Bone State park and Rabbit Hash. We have 2 dogs who walk with us on leash and recently added chickens! Learn more about this land: Level gravel area for RV parking, second plateau available for multiple tent sites. Campfires in designated area. Deer and turkeys are plentiful and often wander through. Main home on property but only close enough for assistance, not interference. Homesteading in progress with many improvements being added. Property is close to Creation Museum and the Ark. 10 minutes from restaurants expressway but feels like a retreat. Our property sits on a finger of Cumberland Lake. The Lake is maintain and owned by the Army Corp of Engineers. Our property has one of the few docks that are grandfathered in to the rules of the lake. We bought this property as a summer home for our family and we are fortunate enough to have two small cabins on the property we are willing to share. We took a break during COVID and used our cabins for family but now that things are back to normal, we are ready to meet new people. Both cabins have indoor plumbing, a small kitchen area with a microwave, coffee pot, mini frig and sink. They have been remodeled and have covered balconies that overlook the hillside and water below. It's a beautiful, peaceful getaway that feels like you are miles from the city but really you are a mile from grocery stores, gas, and entertainment. If you are not familiar with Cumberland Lake, please review the pictures here to appreciate the distance and steepness of the hill that must be walked to get to the water. Part of the path is large gravel steps and part is just a trail through the woods, it winds and slopes and can be very slick in the rain. Everyone says it's not bad going down but coming back up is a challenge. This property is not for you if you have mobility issues.
