This was a great spot for a night of camping along my cross country road trip! Matt was a great host and I even did the tour of the silo in the morning. It was such a unique experience and I would highly recommend for anyone in the area to stop for a night or even just the tour!

Matthew and his dog Dozer were very welcoming to us. He gave us a tour of the campsite and the place was amazing! He keeps up the property and is refurbishing the military structures. He built a fire and created a way for us to meet our neighbors. Best camping ever!

Beautiful land with jaw-dropping view of the night sky. And, as a child in the 80s, experiencing a symbol of war being transformed into a site of beauty was heartening.
Matthew was communicative and helpful in getting me and my old puppy settled into a safe space. In addition to the silo tour, there are trails on the land and even a few baby bunnies.

I had quite an experience on Matthew's land. It is a beautiful grassy area for the tent, which I got pitched even though the wind kept trying to take it. During the night about 1am the tent almost came in on me. I decided that me and the dogs should finish the night in the car. In the morning the tent was down. We still enjoyed our time there.
The tour was awesome. Matthew is so knowledgeable, it was neat listening to him. He is passion about alternative energy and living off the grid.
I would go back and stay again, maybe setting the tent in a different spot where the wind would not affect it as much.
All in all I had a great time and the dogs really liked not being on a lease.

Beautiful property just off I-70 that has a gracious, attentive host. The Silo tour was excellent and Matthew's passion about the project is evident through out. Great history lesson along with new technology breakthroughs in self sustainable systems. We camped for one night and Matthew set us up with a very private spot with a beautiful view of the rolling hills. There are mowed paths all across the property which made for a nice sunset walk. Matthew set up a community fire and we met several other travelers and exchanged stories. The stars were amazing. So happy I found this place for a stop on our trip. I would think anyone looking for something out of the ordinary, this is the place.
