Each site is in a wooded, shaded area with a flat area on the ground to place a single large tent. Each site has its own fire ring and a small wooden table. There is wood on the ground you may use for firewood, and ample twigs etc on the ground for kindling (do not cut any trees or branches off trees). There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There are 2 porta potties near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast. We do provide a large trash bin near the porta potties for trash disposal. DO NOT throw trash into fire pits or burn barrels in the woods. Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you CANNOT drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles! The Cozy Corner (Site 3) by the woods on the river (this is a secluded corner and very private.) And last but not least our Cozy Camper vintage Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents (2) (site 5). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views of the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. The Haven Camping and Outdoor Wedding Venue began in 2022, Our goal is to strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with, with the public. The Haven is nestled on 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of Oak, Beach and Walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: The River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, The River under The Canopy of trees (site 2) small RV and tent site, The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4) great views of the river. The Cozy Corner (Site 3) by the woods on the river (this is a secluded corner and very private.) And last but not least our Cozy Camper vintage Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents (2) (site 5). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views of the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. Book earlier to get your desired spot! Bring your toys and play in the great outdoors! We have corn hole toss, horseshoe toss, but if you have toys you can use them here, throw the football, Frisbee or play some volleyball or Tether ball whichever! Or rent some of our Kayaks or fish and really enjoy the river! Porta Potty is available. Don’t miss out book now! -If smoking or drugs are discovered on the property the whole group will be asked to leave with NO REFUND. NO EXCEPTIONS. Alcohol will be at the owner’s discretion upon arrival. Please dump all trash in waste baskets provided. Please clean up after pets and please be responsible and respectful of others. The Haven

With Amish farms and families all around. The Mirror Lake Bunkhouse has all amenities. You are welcome to cook over an open fire, use the grill or the small kitchen accessories provided. don’t forget the option is always available to go out to dinner with a restaurant only 4 miles away. Although we are located in the middle of the country. You can wake up to beautiful sunrises or take in breath taking sunset in the evening. The lake is a private lake owned by three property owners. Our Cabin # 2 “Old Phil” Is located on the west side of the lake in a 15 acre woods. About 1-1/2 miles away is Our cabin # 1 “Little Elk” Is located near the little Elkhart River. Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

This was my 10th visit to Camp David! It was freezing outside, but the cabin was warm, and the campfire was even warmer, under a moonlit sky. The cabin was so cute, decorated with Christmas decorations. Davis is a fantastic host! What a great way to spend my birthday!!!

Our stay at this cabin was truly lovely. The space felt cozy and private, even with the kids enjoying the loft upstairs. It had everything we needed, and we really appreciated how peaceful and comfortable it was. The only challenge we experienced was with communication. When an unexpected winter storm came through, we reached out twice to ask whether we could extend our stay for an extra night. We weren’t from the area and were concerned about driving in unsafe conditions. The host responded to other parts of my messages but did not acknowledge the question about availability, which left us unsure how to plan. We ultimately chose to leave early and book an Airbnb for safety. Overall, the cabin itself was wonderful, but clearer communication during situations like this would have made the experience even better.

First of all, the place was beautiful! The lights on the buildings were magical! Troy was nice enough to help us late at night for a place to pull through with my class A and car on dolly just for electricity! It was cold and we were driving til we found something! Big area to camp for tents or other RVs and only the 15 amp for plug in but a delightful place! Bring the kids just for the sights! Troy was so nice and hung out in the cold to help me park! Great with communication and a heart to help!

Titus is a very caring host. He is very prompt to communicate and he made sure I was doing ok during my stay (I was hot tent camping in snow). His thoughtfulness and creativity was everywhere in the campground - instructions were found right at the amenity I didn’t have to ask anything. I came on my own this time but I’d love to come back with kids next time. They would love the swing, the ship, fishing and animals.

The bus is adorable, the Whitney provided information ahead of time and then was always responsive when I had questions. The clubhouse looks like a great place to spend time...though I wasn't there long at all - just a quick stop-over on a road trip. I wish I'd had more time to explore because the images online don't seem to do it justice. It was cold November night and I got a head's up from Whitney - and they provided a small propane heater. I knew I was taking a risk booking when I did, but I very much appreciated the thought. Still, I woke up to snow, which I absolutely hadn't expected! The location is definitely out of the way (a benefit), but somewhere I'd go out of my way to go back to for a longer stay.

Titus has created a great little get away! The grounds were well kept and sites are all far enough away from each other that there is a lot of privacy. He was a very helpful and welcoming host. Would definitely recommend staying here. Google maps will try to take you to the wrong house (the one just before) so just make sure you look for the actual address. It’s the driveway lined with trees on both sides.

What a great little spot to camp for the weekend. I loved waking up and having a view of the river and the woods on the other side. Kat provided everything we needed, including a s'mores kit! Our site was far enough away from the other sites that we had privacy. This campsite was great for peace and quiet and space to get away with our little dog.
