Weekend Trip to Lochloosa River Retreat

My brothers visited for Friday the 13th and could not have had a better experience! Not only were Nikki and her husband so kind to greet us late in the evening, but they also brought us hot chocolate to keep us warm. The lake, ambient cabin, and full moon made the night perfect for DnD - will be returning during the warm months!

1 night at Camp David

Everything went well! The host is fantastic and accommodating and very nice, and knowledgeable about local hiking areas. The tippy canoe river is beautiful and tranquil. My favorite part is the outside fire pit. The facilities are great, we were warm and cozy. This is my third trip there this year, and my sixth trip to Camp David altogether.

Tim and Beth are great hosts with an amazing property. The alpacas, chickens, dogs, cats and the quiet are the most calming camping site you could ever want. It's a working farm. It doesn't feel like a working farm. It feels like a home in the country and we can't wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Camp David

It was a beautiful place. We were worried we wouldn't be able to continue camping this late into the year, but the heater in the cabin was more than sufficient. The host provided us with everything we needed and gave us our privacy while we lit a fire and enjoyed his wonderful property.We can't wait to go back when we can spend more than a night.

Heritage farm was an amazing reprieve for our family of 5 with two college freshman who enjoyed being in nature! Exploring the property, meeting all the animals who were so friendly, fresh farm eggs for breakfast, and a picture perfect fall weekend. It’s beautiful, quiet, lots of fun, and very clean! David is such an accommodative host! The cabin was decorated so cute, for Fall. It was my 6th trip to Camp David, and I will spend my birthday there, in December.

Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens! Heritage Farm has several options for overnight lodging. One of the most popular places to stay is in our authentic 1850's log cabin. And it's certainly special to us as well. The cabin represents a valued part of our heritage. It reminds us every day of our agricultural roots, solid values and the importance of faith and family.
