There is access to water and electricity in the shop but not at sites. There is a lot of different wildlife to enjoy, the nickel plate bike trail is about 4 miles away & the Rochester community pool is 10 minutes. You can fish in the pond or take a canoe ride by the beaver hut. The sites are not marked, you can basically camp where you want but we don’t recommend setting up in the middle of the disc course. Fallen Tree Campground is located directly next to Chain O’Lakes State Park, were you can use our complementary day pass to swim, hike, fish, kayak, etc.! Your space has access to a shared bathroom, shower, kitchen, dining room, living room, and outside fire pit. Be sure to grab a coffee or a hot tea and walk our beautifully lit trails that will give you a sense of peace and maybe a bit of magic. The campground covers 7 acres and is partially wooded with some mature trees and lots of young forest. We are working hard to turn it all back into native land, one tree at a time. Fallen Tree also has chickens and geese! We would love to introduce you to all of our feathered friends. There are several designated camping areas, a driveway for car campers, a tiny house, and a converted school bus [skoolie]. We are flexible with our hosting. At Morels on the Wabash Your Tee-Pee is up and waiting on a 30ft x 30 ft deck. Your campsite sits majestically on the Wabash River. Surrounded by nesting Bald Eagles, White Tail deer and the elusive River Otter. A private island to explore and listen to the rusting of the state tree, the Sycamore. The campsite hosts a private hot tub on the deck right outside your 20ft Tee-Pee. Off the deck a few steps is your multiple fire pits, canoes, kayaks, and your own private boat ramp to the river. Various types of barbecue grills just off the steps of the deck. The Tee-Pee is decorated with early American Native American artifacts. Comfortable full bed, small refrigerator, ice machine, dry sink. In the common area you may enjoy wifi, shower and modern bathing facilities. Port A Potty just outside your Tee-Pee area also. At Morels, many activities exists on the ground; Horse shoes, chipping cage to improve your swings, volleyball net, Tether ball, various archery target and clay shooting area. The Wabash river provides a beautiful River beach are that boasts 200 hundred yards of river frontage. Multiple species of game fish in the waters of the Wabash. Come enjoy the moon lights on the Wabash River. The Native Americans called this area of the Wabash river "Wa Wa See ', meaning White rock due to the Lime stone formations. The history of the Wabash corridor is almost lost to time. Come get rejuvenated at Morels. Clamping on the Wabash is best suited for adults with a flare for adventure. This romantic clamping site is best suited for the experienced camper. Primitive camping aspects still await you. Be prepared for all weather. Please take the time to look up some the attractions Logansport has to offer; France Park, River side Park, Mississinewa Reservoir in Miami County. Laundry mat, Walmart, Dollar Tree, city parks, and a variety of restaurants are within 2 miles. The property features my beautiful 1950's red brick home, and 2 restored red historic barns surrounded by farm fields. Parking is always available in front of the barns on gravel. When the ground isn't too soft, you can also park within the couple acres of open, mowed ground behind the barns. 30 amp electricity is available near the barns. Leashed pets are welcome.
