We live off of a gorgeous winding tree lined road between Knightstown and Carthage. Our property has several options for you to tent camp or we can accommodate large RVs. Electric will be supplied via extension cord and we can provide well water to fill your tank or a hose from our pump for you to use as needed.
We own 10 acres with a pasture of wild flowers, chickens, and several varieties of trees. The surrounding 100 acres along Big Blue River is owned by our family and available for your enjoyment. Kayaking, hiking, bird watching, swimming and just relaxing!
We hope we can be a quiet spot for your travels thru the midwest. We are 30 minutes from Indianapolis, 20 minutes to a gorgeous lake and mountain bike trail and Knightstown has several quaint shops and antique venues for you to enjoy!
Please keep all animals on a leash or contained. We do live in the midst of cornfields and forest where racoons, opossums and our pets live. We have outdoor kitties Reginald is a big gray boy who will try to climb your leg if you stand still long enough! lol Abigail is our outdoor pooch and she does like to roam outside during the day. We also have a new to our farm rescued Great Pyreneese that is adjusting! She is in an enclosed pen behind our barn and should'nt cause you any trouble. You may hear her barking off and on as she adjusts to the new surroundings.

We're bringing my family farm back to life. My parents farmed here until the 1980's, but couldn't make a profit with corn and soybeans. My husband, Nate, and I moved home in 2014, and started turning the fields into pastures. Today, we run Nightfall Farm, raise animals with respect, and sell pasture-raised meat locally. Imagine the smell of chestnut and cedar while you’re looking up at a architectural detail rarely seen, this was exactly our experience when we stayed in “Roundtop” The cabin has a barrel ceiling aged to perfection as if you are sipping on the finest bourbon. The rustic style cabin has a charming screened in porch with a view of the lake, a small couch and side table topped off with string lights. The main sleeping area has four windows with two windows that open inward a small table and refrigerator, two fans and a sweet note welcoming us to the space. What I appreciate is the absence of tv so that we experienced a true sense of connection. I also was very happy that we could bring our own bed and bedding, it’s like camping but with walls. Additionally, knowing who was coming and why, the hosts lovingly left us a rock painting kit. We booked a yoga session and it was fantastically led, super relaxing and totally worth it!!! We enjoyed the outdoor shower after swimming. The hand washing sink is a nice addition. Watched other guests catch fish, I even heard one person yell to their loved one that they caught four in a row. With so many ways to stay here, I know you won’t be disappointed!

First of all, the host makes or breaks any camping trip! Liz was kind, patient and easy to talk to! You knew she would love to help any time! The cabin itself was amazingly beautiful with old-school charm. Everything was repurposed and rebuilt. No technology and perfectly quiet! If you want to disconnect from the world of tech, stay a night or two here! My wife and I especially enjoyed the bench swing while enjoying a cozy fire!

My stay at Liz and Nate's Nightfall Farms was loaded with rustic charm and creative design. The small cabin is a cozy marvel, featuring a stunning four-poster bed and unique windows salvaged from old buses and homes that give the space such a personal, handcrafted character. I spent time relaxing on the screened porch and found the outdoor kitchen area very convenient; having a small fridge and a sink for the essentials was exactly what I needed. Between the peacefulness of the off-grid composting outhouse and the constant entertainment provided by Croft, the farm's adorable and mischievous cat, it was a wonderful solo retreat. It’s an absolute gem for anyone looking to unplug and appreciate thoughtful, sustainable craftsmanship.

We loved the cabin at nightfall. It was perfect for the two of us. The outdoor kitchen made it so easy to cook and cleanup. Liz was so friendly and welcoming. Loved going on little walks around the property. Croft, the kitty, was an added bonus. The cabin was so comfy and made us feel like we were in the middle of the woods.
