36mi from Harlan · 1 siteGrit and Grace Homestead is a peaceful working homestead in the heart of northeastern Indiana, where faith, farming, and nature come together. Our mission is simple: grow it, teach it, and pass it on.
The property is home to Jo’s House, our unique bee-bed experience, as well as an active apiary and a variety of farm animals, including Idaho Pasture Pigs, Hank the Highland cow, goats, lambs, ducks, and chickens. Throughout the seasons, you’ll experience the sights and sounds of a real homestead—from bees busily gathering nectar to livestock grazing in the pastures.
Guests are welcome to stroll around the property, relax by the fire pit, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, watch the stars come alive after dark, and simply slow down from the pace of everyday life. Whether you’re listening to the birds in the morning, watching pollinators work among the flowers, or enjoying the peaceful rhythm of the farm, there’s always something to discover.
Grit and Grace Homestead is also a place of learning. Throughout the year, we host educational opportunities centered on beekeeping, homesteading, gardening, food production, and other traditional skills, helping people connect with the land and with one another.
Whether you’re here to explore, relax, or simply enjoy the beauty of rural Indiana, we hope you’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and a little more connected to the natural world.
