When we bought this property 5 years ago, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others.Learn more about this land:We have 6 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible so if you see another area, please ask!. Site 10 is most secluded. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able toenjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying at our horse farm. We have many chickens, 2 bunnies, potbelly pigs, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 3 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles & kayaks. There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything.

Welcome to Lochloosa River Retreat! We are a small hobby farm on a little over 6 acres of partially wooded land with nearly 700 feet of river frontage on the beautiful Tippecanoe River! We offer primitive tent and primitive dry RV camping with indoor restroom and showers. There is a lovely creek that flows through the property, perfect for exploring and having fun for kids or the kid at heart! Lochloosa is like a sanctuary for wildlife and humans alike! Spend some time watching the many birds, arrange a tubing or kayaking trip on the river, fish off the riverbank, relax and have fun at the in ground saltwater pool complete with slide and diving board, or kick back at your campsite near the creek, gaining some ZEN while listening to the sounds of the babbling brook and watching the amazing sunrises and sunsets! Explore nearby Lake Maxinkuckee beach, named one of Indiana's top twelve lakes to visit and browse the shops and restaurants in Culver. Whatever you decide to enjoy while you're here, we welcome you and hope you love this little slice of camping paradise as much as we do! We offer a limited number of tube and kayak trips. Please message me for more info or add it as an extra to your reservation to arrange your float in advance of your stay. All campers have shared access to one indoor family/unisex restroom with two toilets and two showers. Please be sure to check all info and rules for the particular site that you book. We allow pets in sites north of the creek only as our pets and farm animals live on the south side. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. There is a nearby country store within 2 miles that offers chicken, pizza, ice and miscellaneous items for your convenience!

Hello Campers, Here at J + M Acres we pride ourselves on providing a wonderful camping experience. When you book with us you get over 10 acres of 100% private camping land because we only allow one group per booking. Unlike other sites, we are more than willing to help get you and your gear out to and back from the campsite as well. We have two large open areas for camping and activities and just over a mile of walking trails. The main camping area has 16’x32’ deck with plenty of folding tables and two wrought iron tables w/ 8 chairs. The other large area has an 8’x10’ deck with love swing and a reclined swing thing. Lol We have a large fire pit and to make your life easier, firewood is available for purchase on site. There’s also a very nice outhouse with a cold water shower on the outside. The main trail and outhouse trails are both lit at night. We also have a charcoal grill, tripod grill for over the fire pit, bags boards, beersby, volleyball nets, bocce ball, and frisbee golf baskets that are all available for use upon request for no extra charge. The Hideaway at Cooper Lake

The Hideaway is located on private property in Otis, Indiana. Three canvas tents line our man made, creek fed lake. The lake is over 6 acres and approximately 35 ft deep. The lake is stocked with catfish, bluegill, bass and other fish perfect for fishing. Wildflowers and natural paths are available for walking and scenic photoshoots. The property is near the tollroad. Some guests do not notice the noise others have been more sensitive to it. There is space for each site to have privacy. Each site has their own shower, flushing port-o-john, fire pit, dining area. There is a shared space near the lake which includes lounging furniture. We proudly do not have wifi and encourage our guests to unplug and relax!
