Pitch your tent near the creek (site 1) in a completely private site (kids can sleep in the truck bed topper or fort if they'd like) or on the field to the side of the house (site 2) for a semi-private spot nearest to the bathroom and with a wood chip drive entrance for larger vehicles or (site 3) a semi- private spot down by the creek and the hay bales to the left of the house. (Or pick a spot of your choosing). Enjoy the farm animals, walk the property, build a fire, and enjoy the outdoors!
There are more animals to pet from April through October (typically we have bunnies, chickens, sheep, cats, dogs, alpacas, miniature horses, horses, pig, goat, etc.). In the winter the horses, alpacas, chickens, dogs, cats and sometimes bunnies are available to visit.

The creek at times is swimmable, other times it's walkable, and sometimes in the heat of July it's very shallow. There is a zip line, log or bridge to cross the creek.
There is a state park (Ft. Daniel) less than 5 minutes away and others a bit further (Spitler or Sand Creek)
Horseback riding may be available upon request - $25.00 per person or $50.00 per family.
There is a large shaded playground in the front yard for the kids with a trampoline, small zip line, ninja line, slack line, silks, climbing dome, hammocks, etc.

This was once a self sustaining farm built in the 1950s. The farm raised cattle, pigs, chickens. There was 35 tillable acres which produced corn and oats for the livestock. The farm had its own feed grinder in the old barn. There is an old hand built cooler room where all the meat was stored. There are four wells on
the farm one of which is used for watering animals and cooling alpacas on hot summer days.

Relax in our quiet lodging right here on the farm where you'll see horses, goats & chickens. For an additional fee, we're happy to offer Amish buggy rides & wagon rides for our guests.
The camper is 28 feet with a 12 foot tip-out. It has one bedroom with a king size bed, and another with a double bed. In the common area there's a sleeper sofa. There's a bathroom with shower in the camper and another bathroom with shower about a 1 min. walk in a separate building.
Our farm is just a 5 min. drive from the Great Pumpkin Patch, Yoder's Country Kitchen and various Amish owned shops. Beautiful Lake Shelbyville is a 35 minute drive. We are about a 45 min. drive from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and 35 min. from Eastern Illinois University.
This Amish owned camper doesn't have Wifi (TV only plays DVD's). Depending on your phone carrier & plan, you shouldn't have any problem getting cell phone service & internet on your phone. It may be possible to funnel the internet from your phone to your phone to your laptop using a "personal hotspot".

What a great place for families! We stayed at the creek-side camp and loved the privacy. It was perfect with our 5 and 7 year old as they were able to head to the playground alone with walkie talkies. For younger kids, the site closer to the playground may be a better fit. Julie was kind and helpful with every question we had! The property is also close to town, should you need anything at all - like we did!

We LOVE Aris Farm. What a unique camping experience surrounded by awesome animals! We can’t pick a favorite when it comes to the fur babies but Banjo definitely stole our hearts (and we almost stole him). Tracy was great the entire time and very hospitable. We had the pleasure of meeting 10 yr old Mia (sp) who shared a ton of knowledge about the farm and the alpacas. We loved that she took the time to talk with us and taught us a lot of really cool, interesting things about the alpacas. We definitely would love to return when we can stay longer.

Tracy was a wonderful host, she took the time to show us around the farm and made us feel very welcome. She even joined us for a cold drink when her chores were done. We set out chairs up under the shade in the alpaca pasture and were able to feed them right out of our hands. Would love to come back in the fall (when it's a little cooler).

This is our second time to Aris Farm to camp in the Alpaca field. We love it so much. Tracy is always so welcoming! The kids have so much fun with all of the animals, learning their names and petting them. Tracy is alway very helpful letter them know which one do like attention and those that don't. We will definetly return. It's not far from Turkey Run!!

Our family loved tent camping on Julie's land. The land was beautiful and the feel was private even though you were close to the home. The directions were easy to follow. The pets were super friendly (especially Daisy)!
For our first time using hipcamp it was a great experience.

I loved tent camping here! Tracey was so nice, even had a fire for me since I was running behind. Toured the animals. The coyotes howling and barking off the distance, added to the outdoors of it. Nice area and safe.

Great spot with lots of fun animals! The dogs are sweet and the livestock is great. Enjoyed my stay and was gifted some fresh eggs as well!

My daughter and I camped at Tracy’s farm on our way back from touring the SouthWest, and we both loved it. The farm is beautiful and serene. Tracy was the most welcoming and generous host and introduced us to all the unique species of animals she cares for. It was wild to meet Alpacas up close! I would recommend camping here to everyone!

(The only thing that would have made the spot absolutely perfect would be a circle drive or pull-through area. )
