We are within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store/deli, Family Dollar Store, a department store, hospital and churches. Although a small town, Grangeville is by far the largest within an hour and a half, and has many more amenities than the smaller towns in the area. Most cell phones can get reception in Grangeville, and we have free WIFI. As new owners we knew this little park needed some TLC and improvements so we got to work. So far we have added new gravel, signs, electrical meters, and 4 retaining walls, flower planters, and have worked hard to clean and spruce up the property.

This site is great for boon-docking on solar power, while enjoying great views of the Wallowa Mountains and surrounding farm/ranch land in relative privacy. Graveled Tucker Down Road runs on the west side of the sites, separated by a small creek, deciduous trees, and wild shrubs & flowers. The road gets a fair amount of ranch and farm traffic, but the trees do knock down most of the dust. While the site is flat, be ready for ann uneven surface with lots of tall grass, clover, & thistles. We were happy to be able to light our Howl propane fire pit for an evening under the stars. The site location is convenient with a short 5 minute drive to Joseph and just a 15 minute drive to Wallowa Lake & the Tramway. I can understand comments about the $75 per night being steep since there are no hookups but for us it was worth it.

We enjoyed our stay here with a few caveats. It was easy to find, had gorgeous views and Kelly was very informative and responsive. Now, the caveats. The space felt a bit neglected.. Lots of weeds that needed cleared out. And, although he mentions it in the description, we didn’t appreciate the camera on the site. All that being said, we would likely stay again if we are back in the area.

Our host was incredibly responsive and accommodating—quick to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The site was peaceful and remote, giving us that off-the-grid feeling, yet still conveniently close to nearby activities. Super quiet at night, perfect for stargazing and relaxing. Outstanding views in all directions, and a friendly, informative host in Meredith. If you’re dry/tent camping (we were in a rooftop tent on our truck), be advised there is no shade. Keep in mind that the site is a working ranch, so their work is ongoing throughout the day. We would stay again.

This campsite was peaceful and beautiful, with sweeping meadow and mountain views. We loved getting to know the local cow herd and soaking in the sounds of nature. We were in town for an event at Tamarack Resort—the 25-minute drive was stunning every time. Would definitely stay again!
