Wildlife is common in this area, and you may see deer or even moose nearby. Please remain aware of your surroundings and exercise caution.

The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley. Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's. Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's. My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917. They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay. Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses. In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River. It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho. This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean. Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights. A little rain and cloud did little to dampen the experience, which was highlighted by a nice long sweat in the sauna (a MUST) and a brief but invigorating dip in the cold plunge. Shoutout to a couple of friendly four legged friends, who I also had the great fortune to meet. While I didn’t get to experience the epic sunrise over the Tetons due to an early departure, this was easily remedied by a quick journey back over the pass to the national park (another must!). This was my first, but certainly not my last stay!!

Kristin’s spot was a perfect for a quick weekend stop. I was met immediately when I arrived and the spot was easy to get into and level. I would stay here again every time I’m in Alpine.

Wonderful site with wonderful hosts. My partner and I stayed here 2 nights at Site 1. We were greeted by our host, Terri. She was amazing to talk with! She directed us to the spot we’d be staying at. It was a pull through spot, and it was a level spot. All of the spots are very cared/maintained. Good spaces in between sites. Although we didn’t use many of the amenities, there was cornhole, volleyball courts and other things to enjoy at the campground. The hosts and the campground exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back and stay to explore more of the surroundings area.

Property is incredible. Everything worked as expected and Robin was very attentive. Amazing view of Teton mountain range. Was a great base camp to visit Yellowstone, Jackson and Grand Teton NP!

Absolutely stunning campground. Wish we could have stayed longer. About an hour drive from the west entrance to Yellowstone. The hosts were so friendly and even had change for us when we needed to do laundry. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you!

Staff very friendly but make sure to reserve a site early and larger than what you think you need. The sites are small and packed in. The campground is in a cottonwood forest so if you have allergies, prepare or avoid.
