Minidoka County Fairgrounds: The fairgrounds are located East of Rupert encompassing an area of approximately sixty-five acres. The grounds includes a rodeo arena, display buildings (antique building, a commercial building, 4-H building), and open air pavilion for livestock shows, family reunions, and other community events. Hidden behind the main grounds is our small and quaint campground in a groomed grassy field. with a spectacular view of Mount Harrison. Our Amps are 30 amp. We suggest you have your own drinking water. There are signs saying nonpotable for your safety. There is not direct access to fairgrounds bathrooms. We are perfect for an RV set up or a tent camper that is a bit more experienced.
The Minidoka County Fair held the first week in August and includes a full week of events including entertainment, open class exhibits, food, rodeo, 4-H and FFA livestock shows. Numerous events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year including Moto-X races, rodeos, auctions, 4-H events. weddings, horseshows, family reunions, and more. Note-Dates have been blocked for these events. We are fortunate to have this multi-purpose facility for use in our community.

We have about a mile of river running through our property—come float it! We also have a cute barn, farm animals, and a farm shop offering meat, milk, eggs, beeswax candles, soap, tea, coffee, honey, bread, and more—all sourced right here on our farm.
We have a couple of great places to stay and plenty to do. We are located just 5 minutes off I-15 and 18 minutes from Lava Hot Springs, and about 15 minutes from a Costco. Come camp here with the kids and enjoy the space to play and relax.
We offer a “bunkroom” trailer for rent. It is dry camping (no water or toilet), but there is a porta-potty nearby. It can be rented with or without power and stove capabilities. The trailer includes a couch and a full-size bed and is available for nightly rental.
Tent sites can be set up near our Kid Beach River area. It’s close to the farm and shop, yet still offers plenty of privacy. We can host large groups, multiple vehicles, and large RVs. We are also a host on Harvest Hosts—feel free to reach out for more information.
Please note that we do not allow any open flames of ANY kind, except those contained within RVs.
NO DOGS ALLOWED, even in vehicles. Our dog is not good with other dogs, and not all visiting dogs are trained around our free-roaming livestock and poultry. Even if you arrive with a dog in your car, we ask that you call ahead and park at the top so we can secure her and prevent any risk of damage to your vehicle. We protect her, and she protects us—our animals’ safety is extremely important to us.
Communication is key—tell us what you’d like to see and do in the area, and what kind of experience you’re hoping for while you’re here, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
We also host family reunions and have a large indoor space available with seating and tables for up to 60 people.

You could be the only one there for the night. It was quiet. Note the instructions…this is a fair ground and you do drive thru to the back side. Site is clearly marked. A side note for the general area(community), Google Maps is not caught up on food locations. For food, google said 9 miles (next town over)for a DQ. As we headed that way, we came upon one only 2-ish miles from camp site.
I would stay here again.

This place is incredibly peaceful and private—the perfect escape to unwind. We came up from SLC. The sound of the flowing creek was so relaxing, and our dogs absolutely loved it! The picnic table and fire pit were wonderful additions that made our stay even more enjoyable. We also spotted some large birds that were fun to watch, which added to the charm of the setting. We’ve already booked another stay and can’t wait to return. The hosts were friendly and provided great communication throughout!

This was a great stop for us. It was off season and there were no activities going on at the fair grounds, so there was absolutely no one at the campgrounds. It was just pull in, hookup (the trailer that is) and enjoy the peace and quiet. The area is just a big, flat, grassy field. I suspect though that if there had been something going on at the fair it would have been entirely different.

We stayed one night at the fairgrounds while traveling through Idaho. We had the site all to ourselves, it was very quiet and a great place to stay for the night. We did not test the electrical or water hook ups but did see them in place.
I'd recommend this location to folks who are traveling through and are looking for an affordable, clean, quiet, safe place to stay.

Loved staying here! I stopped here both going and coming home on a longer road trip. Not too far off the main road, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and much easier than hauling everything in and out of a hotel room with a dog and vehicle that is packed full. While I was the only person there both times and it was mostly quiet because I had no camping neighbors, there was a bit of activity nearby from locals or staff on the property. Incredibly easy to get in and out, do read their directions because the map will take you to the wrong road.

What a great place to spend the night while traveling I-84. We were the only campers there. The RV area is well kept and green. Not to sure about the water, there were hookups at each site but the info for the site on Hipcamp said non-potable, no sign were posted reflecting the the water was unsafe. The electrical (30amp) receptacles do not accommodate larger plugs with handles, lucky for us we had an adaptor. The spot we choose only took 2 inches to level. I would defiantly stay there again.

Of course, it is mid July and there is likely a county fair coming so everything is spruced up. shade trees green grass… have had the site to myself with the exception of one person staying over a single night. quiet. 20 bucks plus tax for water and electric. The gates are open all night. There’s a Ripley’s grocery a mile down the road. Loved this place. All booking was done online. I was not bothered by anyone, but saw workmen taking care of business. level sites

This is exactly as advertised - a county fairgrounds. It was absolutely perfect for us as we passed through the area. The place was empty except for one other hipcamp guest who was way at the other end of the row of hookups. Large grassy area for the kids to play, beautiful sunset, and quite secluded. There is a gravel farm road behind the sites, which can kick up a little dust, but we only had 2 or 3 vehicles go by. The electric worked, the water worked, what more can I say.
