The grounds includes a rodeo arena, display buildings (antique building, a commercial building, 4-H building), and open air pavilion for livestock shows, family reunions, and other community events. Hidden behind the main grounds is our small and quaint campground in a groomed grassy field. with a spectacular view of Mount Harrison. The Minidoka County Fair held the first week in August and includes a full week of events including entertainment, open class exhibits, food, rodeo, 4-H and FFA livestock shows. Numerous events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year including Moto-X races, rodeos, auctions, 4-H events. weddings, horseshows, family reunions, and more. Beautiful spot with a great view of City of Rocks and easy access to climbing areas. The campground was well laid out and everything was in good repair. It looked like they were working on improvements for next season - building nice little shade/ wind breaks in the tent sites. Cell coverage was weak in spots between I-84 and Almo when coming from the south so make sure you download directions.

Rock Wren is absolutely beautiful! The tent feels luxurious with lots of personal touches to help guests feel comfortable. The night we spent was really cold, and the hosts provided extra blankets. We were super cozy. Would love to come back!

Very convenient spot with some amenities and easy food next door. A couple little kitties hung out with us for most of the night. It was nice to have a real bathroom but they desperately need to be cleaned. Water is available but heavy mineral content, I could t drink it.

Hidden gem! Surrounded by mtns and great views of storms rolling in. Without any light pollution, the starry sky is fully on display at night. The showers/facilities were a nice touch.

I had a great night at City of Rocks Camp & Climb. I was there on a Tuesday in July so the place was pretty empty. Steve came out to check in with me on arrival and made recommendations to visit the park before I headed out again the next day. The facilities were excellent; I could really tell that they are reinvesting in the property as they grow.

A safe area with other travelers. I happened to arrive on a bad weekend (4th of July weekend) so there were fireworks until pretty late. But aside from that it was nice.

This was a great stop for the night. Close to the highway, in the middle of town, but also quiet and peaceful. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves. Our dog had the run of the place. 30 amp power and water worked with no problems.

Very quiet and clean!! Plenty of space as well. We hear the trains during daylight hours but by bedtime did not hear them. The host was extremely responsive to any questions with replies within minutes.

Weekend Trip to City of Rocks RV

Great spot right outside of City of Rocks. All the amenities were like pleasant little surprises. Fenced in dog run, clean bathrooms, warm shower. The other campers were super friendly and quiet. Would stay again.

Awesome spot! Quiet and safe. When you pull up look for Hipcamp parking signs to the right. Will definitely stay again!
