Minidoka County Fairgrounds: The fairgrounds are located East of Rupert encompassing an area of approximately sixty-five acres. The grounds includes a rodeo arena, display buildings (antique building, a commercial building, 4-H building), and open air pavilion for livestock shows, family reunions, and other community events. Hidden behind the main grounds is our small and quaint campground in a groomed grassy field. with a spectacular view of Mount Harrison. The Minidoka County Fair held the first week in August and includes a full week of events including entertainment, open class exhibits, food, rodeo, 4-H and FFA livestock shows. Numerous events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year including Moto-X races, rodeos, auctions, 4-H events. weddings, horseshows, family reunions, and more. Note-Dates have been blocked for these events. We are fortunate to have this multi-purpose facility for use in our community.

As if you needed more inspiration to get out and enjoy the unexpected beauty of Idaho, the Curlew National Grassland resides in Power County—ya gotta come see what’s so powerful about this place! You won’t be let down by the fortitude of history and scenery at this former home to Shoshone and Bannock Indian tribes. Formerly a ranching town laid to waste by the Dust Bowl, this space was created to sustain wildlife and fish, as well as water and recreation resources in the county. Even if you can’t stay the night, there are plenty of scenic drives to take through the park, and panoramic views to capture on your camera. Sagebrush open desert provides little shade, but the Stone Reservoir has some cool-off opportunities in the form of boating, swimming, and fishing. You can also catch a chill in the year-round 40 degree Minnetonka Caves nearby, or warm up during a winter visit at the Downata Hot Springs in Malad.

Beautiful spot with a great view of City of Rocks and easy access to climbing areas. The campground was well laid out and everything was in good repair. It looked like they were working on improvements for next season - building nice little shade/ wind breaks in the tent sites. Cell coverage was weak in spots between I-84 and Almo when coming from the south so make sure you download directions.

Well laid out, we moved to smaller site once we arrived. Great views, easy set up, great showers. Steve, the host, helped us find our way in the dark on late arrival and came over to make sure we got hooked up ok. Highly recommend- right next door to city of rocks.

This was a great stop for the night. Close to the highway, in the middle of town, but also quiet and peaceful. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves. Our dog had the run of the place. 30 amp power and water worked with no problems.

Cool little campground near the city of rocks. Amenities were actually better than advertised as it seems like they just added showers, spot was pretty level. The host accommodated a last minute site switch for me as well so that I could be closer to WiFi while my wife was in Europe, and the concession stand was an added bonus for an easy breakfast. Will definitely be coming back when my wife is able to join!
