As all the land here is born of lava, many moons ago this land began to host plants and critters. Long after, it was sculpted and a number of families and farmers have contributed to what we have today. An abundance of fruit and vegetables within sight of the ocean. Peaceful breezes and warming sun make for unparalleled tranquility. Today the land still gives back to its visitors. Come recharge. As this is agricultural lands, there are many critters. Dogs, chickens, pheasants, peacock, mongoose, and many birds. Tge invasive coqui frog is annoying to some and calming to others. The micro climate here swings from warm and dry to wet quickly. Best to always prepare for rain. There is snorkeling, beaches, local food, Cafe, BBQ, poke, fish-n-chips, grocery, Sunday farmers market and hiking nearby. It is peaceful here, but also an active farming community. As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. Any vehicle will make it without damage if driven slowly. 1 to 4mph tops. *Be sure to avoid the camper rental companies that restrict certain roads. Aloha and have a great day.

Enjoy the country life in Kau on the Big Island and the lovely red Lehua flowers blooming. We live on 20 acres on Road to the Sea, which has a remote green sand beach at the end of the road (4 miles down from us). We call our slice of paradise, Honua Laa (a sacred place). Straight down to the coast is a beautiful black and green sand beach and a huge tide pool. Rent a four-wheel-drive to get there, but you don’t need 4WD to get to our place, just go slow the road is gravel and bumpy. Off the grid. Rustic, but fun. If you are a Eco tourist or seeking adventure, you will love our spot! The silence is golden and the stars are amazing. Don't expect a hotel...this is upcountry glamorous camping. It's one-of-a-kind! Most of the parcels are 20 acre parcels around… But a few smaller parcels across the road. We have nice neighbors who keep an eye on things. The nearest grocery store is about 3 miles away. The Hele-On Bus is just 1.2 miles up the road. If you want to drive to the green sand beach at the end of our road, rent a 4 wheel drive. If you are athletic, you can walk, but it is 4 miles down and 4 miles back. I recommend going early in the morning and take water. Hot water shower is propane. Bring ice for your ice chest. Bring drinking water. There is a gas grill and propane single burner. Bathroom has manual flush toilet,. This is off the grid solar and there can be days without sun, or other glitches. You can charge your phone and have a lamp in your cabin. No wifi. I use ATandT and I understand that Verizon and T-Mobile work here also. The panoramic ocean view is spectacular! Very peaceful and relaxing! Our glamping cabins are in the front 3 acres. The back 17 acres is an old Ohia forest with 500 year old trees and lots of birds. You might even see a wild goat or a wild pig. There are small caves and gorgeous rock formations. It backs up to Manuka Forest Reserve.

The Yoga Pagoda is a unique experience on the Big Island. Situated towards the bottom of Hualālai volcano in a suburban neighborhood (4 miles from airport/6miles from downtown Kona), the Yoga Pagoda is built primarily for the solo travel looking for a place of reflection. Though small, the 10x10 room is equipped with a cabinet murphy bed which allows for guests to use the room for meditation and yoga if desired. A favorite feature of the pagoda is that the floor has been outfitted as a vibration therapy floor. Powered by solar, and controlled by a tablet, the vibration station allows guests to have a variety of luxury meditative experiences during their stay. The 6x10 lanai is a beautiful space to enjoy morning tea or coffee while the warmth of the sun creeps over the rock walls. Under the main house, guests have access to their own private bathroom, mini fridge, filtered water, microwave, and coffee maker. Coqui frogs are sprayed for regularly on property but they can be an annoyance, sleep phones are provided and quite comfortable for guests with sensitive hearing. Stunning spacious yurt with newly-built luxury spa bathroom and indoor/outdoor lounge area on thriving organic farm. Sleep close to nature under the vaulted skylight and soaring ceiling of a yurt equipped with the comforts of home. This beautiful structure boasts a well-appointed kitchen and a bathroom with grand tub and tiled walk-in shower. Areas for indoor and outdoor relaxation adjoin the spa bathroom among the secluded splendor of our Kona coffee, citrus, and banana groves. This classic large canvas yurt has soaring ceilings with a spectacular domed skylight over the bed for moon and stargazing. There is ample open space, with a table that seats four in the modern kitchen area, and cozy relaxation spaces in both the main yurt and the attached lounge area. The yurt connects to a beautiful new custom wood lounge space with a luxurious spa bathroom that includes a walk-in shower and deep soaking tub. The lounge and bathing area are surrounded by picturesque large screen windows that look out on a back lanai (porch) tucked away in our organic coffee orchard. The lounge room has a queen size pūneʻe (day bed) and a magical hanging bamboo chair. This peaceful restorative space lends itself well to contemplative practices, and yoga mats and ample open floor space are provided. The quiet neighborhood of small farms also lends itself to hill walking and exploring. While not "off grid," the space is intentionally peaceful and screen free. Wifi is not available in the space itself, but can be accessed nearby in our main parking area. Cell service is excellent for most providers, allowing for guests to use their own "hotspot" as needed for staying connected. Nearby beaches offer stunning views and spectacular snorkeling. The home is well stocked for beach visits-- towels and snorkel gear are available for your use. Your hosts produce vibrant organic vegetables and fruit for top island restaurants and local grocery stores. This home is nestled among our organic coffee and citrus orchards.

Vegetarian household who composts and recycles. No bones are to be left on the property
