The farm has been in my family since the early 60's. I purchased it from my Mom in 2011 after my Dad passed away, hoping and wanting to improve it for the enjoyment of others. It's always been a Fun Place for my family and I feel like it would be a Fun place for your family also. It is a Pine Tree farm with fish ponds, walking trail and is friendly to a lot of different kinds of activities. It's located across the street from the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, home of several 4 day music event during the year. Learn more about this land: Planted pine-trees with Grand-daddy Live Oak Trees. Two stocked fishing ponds with and extra pond hidden under another group of old cypress and oak trees. A pet friendly, off leash, dark skies 6 acre slice of paradise in North Florida on the banks of the Suwannee River. In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people, because we only have 1 toilet, so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

This cabin is spacious, warm and safe. We were in need of a place to stay. Stacey has many different options to pick from rent and RV spots to even a pioneer campsite. Now that's rad. We were also provided firewood that we were not charged for because it was raining. Stacey is a great host.

Great place to take the family for an adventure. Easy access to the Florida Trail. Highly recommend checking out Disappearing Creek, which about a 15 min hike from camp. The propery is large and very private. The campsite is approximatley 1000 ft from the river. You can drive down to the river, although the bank fairly steep. A golf cart or four wheeler would make it easier to get to the beach, where you can launch paddle craft, fish, and swim. There is a large pole barn to shelter in during bad weather. It has a table with chairs, a small kitchen sink and table. Power is available at near the fire ring and in the screened room with a hammock. I recommend bringing an extension cord. Shout out to Jerry for providing firewood for a nominal fee. The bathroom and shower are a big plus. The river is a 5 min walk from the campsite, the beach is around 7 min. Janet was a great host and was in touch daily, making sure that we got the most out our experience. The listing does accurately describe the campsite.

Our stay absolutely exceeded my expectations! What a beautiful, calming, and hospitable animal sanctuary/farm experience. Every Friday and Saturday night they light a fire and had marshmallows and sticks already sitting out. There were so many small touches that made the stay just extra special for me and my 6 year old daughter. 100% will stay again!

Janet was so easy to work with! This spot has everything you need and Janet and Jerry made everything all ready with firewood and all! The river is a nice short walk and we really enjoyed fishing and playing in the water. We absolutely loved this spot, we felt so secluded and safe. Our young boys and dogs had so much fun running around. The horseshoes were so fun and the sleeping porch was amazing to have the extra sleeping space. Hope we can have the chance to stay longer and explore more of the beautiful Suwannee River next time!

Cute little spot, I would come back to stay for longer. Feels like very much in the sticks for only 30mins from ev charging haha. Nice for a 3 piece family like us, we even met a friendly dog there too. Really like the shower house.

Trudy was very accommodating in our day of booking. It was a perfect overnight stay. Kokomo Farms was whimsical and exciting to stay at with the chickens, horses, trampoline to stargaze. Trudy and Greg have thought of those little details that Mae the place extra special. Definitely check out their plants, seeds, loofahs, etc for sale while you’re there :)

I loved our stay here! My daughter (7) and I were driving through and stayed over for the night before getting back on the road. What a great place to unwind. Our lodgings were so cute and cozy. In the evening we sat by fire and star gazed in the hammock. Some other folks were playing cards on the wrap around porch up at the house. A very welcome feel about the place. We spent the morning hanging out with the horses, feeding the chickens, wandering around the grounds, conversing with the parrot and playing games before getting on the road. Trudy was so kind. My daughter loved talking to Trudy and the other people visiting the farm.

We had an amazing time camping in the tree house! We are “young” empty nesters and this was a great adventure in figuring out what future adventures will look like! Trudy and Greg were so kind and super hospitable! The weather was perfect! We bought the farm fresh eggs and they had an electric griddle to cook em. We sat on the porch while it rained, reading a book with each other, sipping coffee and enjoying the beautiful of the land on the farm. My wife painted a painting in the garden to add to hundreds of others… it was cool to be a part of so many others that have been through. We pet the horses, fed the roosters, played fetch with the dogs. We drove about 15 minutes to Suwannee state park and hiked Balanced Rock Trail. Our time at Kokomo was sacred, and for us a pivotal point into the second half of life! I know it’s a source of income for them, but it felt like they were truly sharing their land and home with us. Such a great time!

Janet and her property caretaker Jerry were amazing and super hospitable. I would highly reccomend this site to anyone looking for relaxation and fun. Plenty of hiking trails, river views, and nature. Close to a dozen swimming springs to explore. Our family will be back. 💜

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency back home, but boy were we sad to go. The treehouse is such a fun camping experience and our host, Greg, was so kind. He had farm fresh eggs for us every morning and even let us use some of the garlic from his garden. We woke up to his chickens greeting us every day and got to feed his horses. We were so bummed to have to leave whether it was a day short or not but we will definitely be returning to try one of the other camp houses they have available.

Kokomo Farms is so freaking wonderful! I was traveling alone and got the retro camper for one and had the most idyllic weekend, enjoying nature, underneath the live oaks. They have been so conscientious in the creation of this place and it shows everywhere. there is so much love and intention in every detail. i cannot wait to stay there again and try their other adorable lodgings :).

This was the most beautiful little farm I’ve ever seen! Don’t forget your bug spray but I absolutely loved going through the garden and the paint area. Trudy was very lovely and made sure we were set for the night.
