And if you need supplies from town, Cashiers is the closest and is about 25 minutes away and Highlands is about a 45 minute drive. Both have great restaurants and shops to check out. The pond is in the middle of about a 4 acre area that is totally forested & makes a great place to get away from the madness of life & get into nature. Our street ends in a cul-de-sac, minimizing traffic in the area, but the spot is right along a street. You will be able to see & hear cars going by the site. On the other hand, it is also right along a deer path & just this morning I saw 2 does & a baby walking through the site. There is a resident hawk & a gaggle of turkeys that live in the area in addition to pileated woodpeckers & all sorts of other birds. Come check it out and please let us know if you have any questions. Learn more about this land: We would love to have you at the Pond at Dogwood Acres. Our pond is just a little pond, but it is full of life and makes for a cozy little campsite. You will be the only ones camping here. There is a long parking spot suitable for cars/SUVs/trucks and even a trailer or pop up. There are hiking trails leading into the woods at the right side of the end of the drive. Feel free to enjoy them. We are surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest and here in Towns County we are 80% National Forest. Lake Chatuge is close by (less than 10 minutes) in Hiawassee has 132 miles of shoreline. The Appalachian Trail weaves all through the area and you can get to numerous access points for the AT within about 30 minutes. There are a many waterfalls throughout our area within about a 30 minute drive as well. The closest is Cupid Falls just behind Young Harris College. Fire's Creek in Hayesville is a favorite spot. Otherwise you can head towards Vogel State Park and find many more. Head north on state road 66 heading out of Young Harris towards Warne, North Carolina. Travel almost 4 miles passing 339 and then make a right on Brasstown Lane. If you see mile marker 4 or get to Warne, you passed it. Once you turn onto Brasstown Lane it will be on the right side. Coming from North Carolina head south on 66 out of Warne and make a left onto Brasstown Lane. We are about 1 mile south of the North Carolina state line. We are somewhat in the middle of Blairsville (GA), Hiawassee (GA) and Hayeville (NC). Not far from us is the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC and just a bit further is Murphy, NC. 34'58'45.1"N 83'52'49.7"W On a larger scale, we are right in the middle of and about 2 hours from Atlanta, Asheville and Chattanooga. Any questions? Let us know! Note- this campsite is on a residential street. Our street has a cul-de-sac and does not have much traffic, but there are houses in the vicinity of the campsite.

Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. We have owned this property since 2005. The pond is a favorite place of ours and we would love to share it with you!! We live just up the mountain are here for you via text if you need anything at all during your stay with us. The pond is in the middle of about a 4 acre area that is totally forested & makes a great place to get away from the madness of life & get into nature. Our street ends in a cul-de-sac, minimizing traffic in the area, but the spot is right along a street. You will be able to see & hear cars going by the site. On the other hand, it is also right along a deer path & just this morning I saw 2 does & a baby walking through the site. There is a resident hawk & a gaggle of turkeys that live in the area in addition to pileated woodpeckers & all sorts of other birds. Come check it out and please let us know if you have any questions. Learn more about this land: We would love to have you at the Pond at Dogwood Acres. Our pond is just a little pond, but it is full of life and makes for a cozy little campsite. You will be the only ones camping here. There is a long parking spot suitable for cars/SUVs/trucks and even a trailer or pop up. There are hiking trails leading into the woods at the right side of the end of the drive. Feel free to enjoy them. We are surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest and here in Towns County we are 80% National Forest. Lake Chatuge is close by (less than 10 minutes) in Hiawassee has 132 miles of shoreline. The Appalachian Trail weaves all through the area and you can get to numerous access points for the AT within about 30 minutes. There are a many waterfalls throughout our area within about a 30 minute drive as well. The closest is Cupid Falls just behind Young Harris College. Fire's Creek in Hayesville is a favorite spot. Otherwise you can head towards Vogel State Park and find many more. Head north on state road 66 heading out of Young Harris towards Warne, North Carolina. Travel almost 4 miles passing 339 and then make a right on Brasstown Lane. If you see mile marker 4 or get to Warne, you passed it. Once you turn onto Brasstown Lane it will be on the right side. Coming from North Carolina head south on 66 out of Warne and make a left onto Brasstown Lane. We are about 1 mile south of the North Carolina state line. We are somewhat in the middle of Blairsville (GA), Hiawassee (GA) and Hayeville (NC). Not far from us is the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC and just a bit further is Murphy, NC. 34'58'45.1"N 83'52'49.7"W On a larger scale, we are right in the middle of and about 2 hours from Atlanta, Asheville and Chattanooga. This RV site is on our property where we first lived in a mobile home. We love camping and thought what a great place for a quite retreat. So we made the site into a full hook up RV camp site. Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. Free use of kayaks and a canoe on an undeveloped 18 acre lake is included when you camp here. Several miles of trails, dirt roads and streams wind through hundreds of acres which you are free to explore. The property has been owned by members of our family for 75 years or more with areas of it family-owned since the 1800's. A large portion of the property is dedicated to sustainable loblolly pine forests dating back to the 1980's. A significant area of the property is dedicated to native hardwood forest and has some of the oldest and largest white oak, poplar, elm and shortleaf pines in the upstate. The remainder of the property is pasture; home to Black Angus cattle. We look forward to sharing this unique property with you!

...WOW. This was absolutely perfect for us, but may have TOO MUCH privacy for some folks. You are truly alone here. Incredible hardwood property. Beautiful hikes, fishing, and drives in the area. We made it up - no problem - with a 21' camper (25' true length) and a crew cab 2500, but this is about max length (2-3 steep, narrow gravel switchbacks -- 4x4 mandatory). Bring extra leveling blocks and 30' of sewer hose. For the right people with the right rig, this spot simply can't be beat. Thank you for sharing!

My wife and I stayed at Lees site for 4 nights. We just left today and I have to say we did not want to leave. We are avid campers and have stay a lot of places up down the eastern US. This site by far takes our top stay. The availability of well water, power hooks up, and firewood just helped us to tent camp for 4 nights. But how could we not bring up the view? The view of the white rock mountains was so beautiful. It almost makes the site not feel real. It feels like a hallmark movie. The fact that Lee chose to add a hot tub just adds to the site. My wife and I enjoyed our coffee every morning in the hot tub. And if you want seclusion this is it. The drive up to the site from the gate feels like 2-3 miles of driving and you don’t hear a car or a person the whole time you’re there. So 5 stars. Lee does a great job. Clean site and very communicative also. We don’t have a bad thing to say and we will be back. If you’re reading this right now. Stop reading. Go book the site. Oh and make sure you stay 3 nights and have 2 full days there. 1 day there wouldn’t be enough. Trust me.

Beautiful spot surrounded by wildlife and mountain scenery. The campsite is perfectly situated on a comfortable clearing. The host was incredibly helpful with any and all questions and I am thoroughly pleased with our stay. The best Hipcamp site I’ve experienced so far. Highly recommended if you really want to get away and enjoy the best North Carolina has to offer.

The picnic table is super lightweight and can be moved based on how you camp. It is on the flattest spot so if you sleep in a tent you can move the table to the other side of the fire pit and pitch your tent where the table is.

11/10 ! absolutely loved this quaint spot. we saw a few deer and a wild turkey during our short stay. the little library out front was such a highlight and made my partner and i feel so welcomed. we definitely want to come back again. it was my partner’s first time camping and she enjoyed herself so much. we also visited vogel state park which was a 30 min drive and worth it. highly recommend. thank you megan :)
