Bliss Hills Farm

8 sites · Lodging, RVs75 acres · Claxton, GA
Our beautiful unique property has been in the family for 3 generations. Over the years, our family, plus artists, musicians, & writers have come here to refresh and get inspiration from nature. But with Hipcamp, we've opened up for others to enjoy. We have walking trails, a pond where you can kayak, relax on the dock, or feed the huge fish (sorry no fishing allowed.) Also, on our property, there are swings, a tree house deck, obstacle course, fire pit area, wooden bridge, picnic table, and abundant bird life. There's also plenty of wide-open space where you can play frisbee, run, do yoga, and stargaze at night. There's plenty to do in this area, using the farm as your base. Claxton, our hometown, is a great friendly, small-town with grocery and hardware stores and restaurants. Many guests like to side-trip over to the towns of Statesboro, Metter, Vidalia, and Savannah, plus the Golden Isles.

Canoochee River Rentals

5 sites · Lodging, Tents1 acre · Claxton, GA
Michael and Kimberly Duke bought a small cabin on the Canoochee River to enjoy as a family. They decided to list it on a vacation rental site. As this property was in full demand, another property became available to buy. As interest began to increase, the family decided open up the options for their visitors. At this current date, they have four cabins and a yurt, as well as, tent sites. We are excited about the yurt that was completed in August 2019. They are looking forward having another cabin in the near future. Learn more about this land: Spend a few days in a yurt on the bank of the Canoochee River! Locate a few miles from a small town. We purchased this property from our neighbors across the river. Ms. Opal always called this side "the island" after the run of the river changed years ago, splitting their property in half.

Stonewood Farm Glamp & Camp

3 sites · Lodging15 acres · Ridgeland, SC
Once was a pine tree farm. Now five years later it is becoming an actual small 15 acre hobby farm. We are completely solar powered and not tied to the grid. We love our farm animals and all things that we can repurpose. The farm is tucked back in the woods far from the main paved road, providing the ultimate in peace and quiet. Learn more about this land:Come experience life off the grid. Our farm was built by us 9 yrs ago in an effort to live a more sustainable lifestyle. There's nothing quite like our place in the lowcountry! No light pollution makes for amazing star gazing and our glamping sites are private. You don't have to worry about glamping near other people. Play with our goats, collect eggs for breakfast and pick some fresh produce in our garden. Our glamping cabin is big enough for the whole family. There's a queen size mattress that everyone swears is a little piece of heaven, along with a twin size sofa bed that has a twin trundle pull out. For extra sleeping space we've added a futon that converts to a full and there's a cot under the big bed. Relax in the private water trough pool. You also have your own private outhouse with a spacious outdoor heated shower. The cabin has electricity and a small kitchenette. Keep in mind our farm is completely off grid, this means limited electricity & no AC. It gets extremely hot and humid in the south. Especially during the day. There is a fan in the glamping cabin but as of right now we do not make enough electricity to power ac systems at the glamping sites.  We are a working farm not a campground or camping resort. The farm is also located in the woods so there will be bugs of all kinds. We do not use pesticides on our farm. Many of our farm animals roam the farm, this includes horses, goats, our dog, many cats, chickens, ducks & our one goose.
