We bought this Airstream in 2022 as an old shell. It was junky and a mess, and not much in it other than old scraps and junk. We renovated it in 2022 and 2023, and turned it into a cozy, midcentury modern style Glamper. We tried to plan for every comfort you could want or need, from wifi and a smart TV, to a cute bathroom, Keurig and an Air Fryer. We hope you love it as much as we do. Please note, it is tight quarters, especially for more than two people and large framed people. For this reason, we only allow two guests. We live on a busy street, but the backyard is peaceful and serene. The airstream is parked next to our creek, where waterfowl abound. Only one vehicle allowed.

Your site backs up to the Edisto Beach State Park where there are miles of amazing hiking and biking trails running through the maritime forest, and while on the trails you can visit the State Park's Environmental Learning Center to take part in their incredible interactive exhibits and learn about the natural history of the island and it's sea life. You will definitely want to spend time exploring or just relaxing on the beautiful beaches teaming with seashells. If you have a boat, feel free to bring it with you when you come, we are very close to the Live Oak Landing boat ramp where I took the picture of the sunset. As the day winds down to an end you can relax by a campfire or just head inside and kick back and watch a movie from the library of dvd's that are available. The bed is a queen and the dining table area can turn into a full bed. I look forward to having you here to make Edisto Island your next playground.

The Sandcastle offers a peaceful and inspiring respite from life in the Big City. We have goats, Zebu cattle, peacocks, ducks, a pig, chickens and a pet squirrel which are accessible to guests!Please visit our website to view our Local Guide.The spaceThe sandcastle is an incredible "Glamping" space and includes one queen bed with bedding. There is also a futon for additional guests.. There is a floor in the dome and both small screen windows and full panel windows for airflow and to keep out bugs. The sandcastle is a "glamping" tent. :-) Because it gets cold in the evenings, we have special insulation in the cooler months to keep you warm, along with duvet and blanket there is also a heater for winter and small ac for summer. The bathroom is private. It is VERY IMPORTANT that only toilet paper goes in the toilet. We have a super sensitive septic system. We have a small trashcan for any feminine products etc. You have your own parking spot and there is a short 30 foot trail to your yurt. Food and restaurants are very nearby in town and I provide a complete list of all my recommendations.For guests who stay in the Sandcastle, there is an outdoor shower, a pool, Also, a kitchenette and grill, fridge, sink, and personal fire pit are available for your use.We have an aquaponic pond with koi that feed our hydroponic vegetable garden and multiple bee hives that pollinate everything. We also have many fruit trees on the property.
