On the 1-acre tract, in the pecan grove next to the tiny home where you'll be staying, there is 120v electrical as well as a water hookup. We also have tiki torches and a fire pit for spending time around the fire in the evening. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! All fires must be contained inside the designated hubcap chiminea. Do not attempt to build any fires outside of this container. All fires must be fully extinguished when unattended. We welcome you to join us for an evening or a few on our homestead! The microfarm is complete with D.I.Y. designs; fruit trees, raised beds, composting bins, a bat house, water-catchment barrels, a fruit/vegetable sun-dryer, and a 11-by-40-foot greenhouse. There’s a creek with a Beaver dam near the sites and up the road, there’s a pond you can see when you’re coming in to the sites. The small town of Crawford has a very nice pizza place called Crawford pizza, which has other stuff as well. Also, Crawford laundry is right there for your laundry needs. We came in a Class A 40ft, it was a little tight in spots but he’s currently working on that so if we can do it anyone can get in there with ease. We would definitely recommend!!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Palomino site on The Open Road horse farm! The property is gorgeous, well maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery and friendly horses. It felt like a perfect country escape. Dana, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even shared great recommendations for nearby attractions and things to do. Beautiful property and clean camp site with power and water.. We came into town for a GA game (go dawgs!) and it was the perfect peaceful getaway for the weekend. It took us about 25 minutes to get to the game (with Athens traffic). Teens loved feeding the goats and seeing all the other animals. Our hosts were gracious and friendly as well. So much better than staying in a crowded, overpriced hotel. We’ll be back!

The campsite was easy to find. Tom is a gracious host. The property was well-maintained: toilet worked and was clean, shower worked, and the screened picnic area was set up nicely for preparing meals. The meadow where we set up our tent was mowed and neat. Another couple was also staying that night, and they were delightful. We had a quiet night sleeping under the stars and woke up refreshed. We will not hesitate to stay here when our travels bring us back through Georgia.

To be honest, my wife and I have been to Tom’s hip camp before and have always found it as a relaxing getaway. We also enjoyed this trip and expanded what we typically would do. We ended up going to the A H Stevens State park and went through his home in Crawfordville, Georgia, and checked out some other really cool history in the area that isn’t far. We also met a great couple that we connected with and shared a couple hour conversation that really made the whole weekend relaxing and fun.

Jessica and Scott were amazing hosts. Lots of wildlife to see as well as chickens and some loving dogs. WiFi was very fast. They also had a nice bathroom with a hot shower. The city of Dublin was cute with lots of different restaurants.

What a peaceful little quiet spot in this giant world. Tom was an excellent host. He has trails to walk. Beautiful pond. Fully stocked. I LOVED how one minutes you're in a field, then the woods, then a swamp. My favorite were the little bridges. Lots of wildlife. Truly a Gem. I will definitely return.
