An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm. Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. The small town of Crawford has a very nice pizza place called Crawford pizza, which has other stuff as well. Also, Crawford laundry is right there for your laundry needs. The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We had such a wonderful stay at the Palomino site on The Open Road horse farm! The property is gorgeous, well maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery and friendly horses. It felt like a perfect country escape. Dana, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even shared great recommendations for nearby attractions and things to do. We loved every minute of our stay and would absolutely come back again!

We loved our weekend at the Lizard Sniffer Ranch!! We stayed at the Wilbur site. This horse farm is a little slice of heaven. Although we camped, they also have cabins available. Beautiful property and clean camp site with power and water.. We came into town for a GA game (go dawgs!) and it was the perfect peaceful getaway for the weekend. It took us about 25 minutes to get to the game (with Athens traffic). Teens loved feeding the goats and seeing all the other animals. Our hosts were gracious and friendly as well. So much better than staying in a crowded, overpriced hotel. We’ll be back!

I loved the property. We got beautiful sunrise and sunset views with all the sweet horses and goats. Our dog also made friends with the farm dogs. The directions were very clear and the whole area was extremely peaceful.

We, the wife and two dogs, love this place. Nearly every summer and winter our travels takes us near Deerfield and we love it so much, we keep coming back. The location is scenic and private and quiet. It maybe out-of-the-way, but worth the extra few miles.

Weekend Trip to The Great Escape

This is a great place to stay near Athens . It's only 10mi from the stadium, travel time depends on traffic. It's just far enough away to be quite and restful but close enough to all that Athens has to offer. It's off the road and easy to get to. Wide hard pack gravel driveway. Lots are easy to get to. Ashley was very attentive and communicated well for our stay.
