Directions were super clear and helpful. Site was very clean and well-maintained. There is some road noise but it didn’t interfere with sleep at all. This was a much more enjoyable option than any campground. Will return!

3 nights at Harmony Glen

This is a nice and relaxing spot to camp. It was a lot cooler than where we're from in the summer, at least 20 degrees cooler. It's a large camp spot with you and the host are the only ones there on 40 acres of land. June gives you a notebook of things to do and hiking spots you'd never know about. We hiked the "caves" on Glades rd. They were awesome, and we went to see the Petroglyphs at Judaculla Rock on our way home. We really enjoyed our stay here.

4 nights at Magical Mountain Resorts

We absolutely LOVED Magical Mountain Resorts! The entire property was fun, clean, and well-kept. The attention to detail that was provided all throughout the property was incredible. The dozen or so petting zoo animals were enjoyable and their paddock was kept so clean. The creek and the decorations, games, sandbox, and swings around it were so delightful for our young children who played until well past dark each night. The bath house was always in beautiful order. Truly could not have had a better experience and we will definitely return here whenever we make it to this part of NC again!

Another wonderful stay and wonderful year!! Like I’ve said before, do not let the closeness to the road deter you from booking. It gets extremely quiet at night and the creek is so serene. We are planning to come back already!

Great little campsite. Frog was a great host. Easy access to water and electricity. 20 min from downtown Helen. Lots of shade. Plenty of armadillos hanging out near the site at night! We would stay here again.

3 nights at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

The cabin was cozy and perfectly nestled right on the river—just steps from the water. Loved listening to the sound of the current, watching the campfire flames, and waking up to birdsong. Great spot for a relaxing weekend, unplugging (literally), and enjoying nature. The various hosts and helpers were friendly and ready to assist. It's not fancy, but exactly what is needed at a great value. When you normally tent camp, carcamp/boondock, hike/backpack, it's all an upgrade!! This was my 3rd visit and will definitely be back! Only couple things to note, that some might want to know beforehand: there are 1 or 2 'resident RVs' other than the campground host in the campground and some (hunting?) dogs across the river/road that bark occasionally.

Such a great little spot! Loved all the tall pines and to hosts are wonderfully lovely. Next time I’ll have to bring an ATV to ride the trails in the area!

Awesome spot :) we ended up taking the hill because the river was booked and loved it. I'm actually glad we ended up there because you get a bit more privacy and a giant field all to yourself Also: unrelated, but don't try going down the Tuck in a flatwater kayak 😂

Harmony Glen will keep a piece of our hearts. We camped for 6 nights on Mrs. June’s property and loved every minute of it. June’s 40 acres are pure treasures and it was a privilege to experience a part of her daily life. June’s two pups, Peaches and Molly were an adorable addition.

2 nights at Nantahala: Cabins & Campsites

Everything was as expected. Sites seemed well kept and the directions Michael sent were really clear. We had to leave early though because our rain fly was defective!

1 night at Magical Mountain Resorts

Impeccable design, cleanliness, and vision. We stayed in the queen of hearts cabin and had an opportunity to tour all cabins. The cabins and experience exceeded my expectations in all levels. The petting zoo animals were so friendly and appeared to be well loved. The entire experience is a 10/10. If you are considering this, just do it!

Weekend Trip to Trout Creek Campgrounds

We searched for the perfect campsite so that we could try out our new roof top tent, but also to wind down and let the kids play in the creek. Trout Creek did not disappoint! The most friendly staff, now friends, anyone could ask for! Super clean, bath house with shower, easy to maneuver into the site, live music the night we went! There is a small playground that our kids played on for hours! I wish we had a chance to stay the whole season! We will be back as soon as we can, and stay as long as we can!

Weekend Trip to Harmony Glen

This was our first Hipcamp experience and overall it was a good one! June was a lovely host with a beautiful property that we enjoyed exploring with our kids. There is a grassy plot by the fire pit where you can pitch a tent near part of the creek. While it isn’t too far from June’s house, a tree line provides some privacy. The road is nearby and you can hear cars every now and then, but the sound was infrequent and not a big deal for us. There were lots of lightening bugs when we were there and the display was pretty impressive. Our kids enjoyed hiking in the woods and playing in the creek. June’s pups, Molly and Peaches were sweet and our kids loved petting them. Our only negative was beyond June’s control- there were some dogs nearby (not hers) that barked constantly hours into the night/early morning. This is probably not an issue with an RV, but we will be bringing ear plugs next time. :)

5 nights at Harmony Glen

We enjoyed every moment (5 nights) at Harmony Glen and can't wait to go back again. The site feels secluded and private because of the trees but it's only about 100 yards from June's (the owner) beautiful home. We hiked the entire property down to the creek, up to the pasture, and then bushwacked our way through the woods to reach the top of the mountain. We camped in a pop-up and were grateful for the water and power hookups.

Cherokee Waterfall Campground

Please read the entire listing because I have updated this page. The booking is for 2 people, any guest after the initial 2 or pet will be $10 per night. Add them as extra guests Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall! This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends! We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November. There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund. Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. No fireworks. No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible) Do not cut down trees alive or dead If you move picnic tables please move them back Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit. There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down. The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024. The Woods At Sole Farm

I purchased this property in 2016 from the estate of Robert Masters. Mr. Master's and his family lived on this property since 1957 in the small red brick house at the road, Green Shutters Cottage, an Airbnb/VRBO. He raised chickens and cattle. The cows are the reason this property looks the way it does with it's magnificent trees. I suspect this piece of property has had cattle on it for 100+ years. Mr. Masters worked at the Historic Habersham Mill down the road as did many of the locals. I have named the farm, Sole Farm. (Sole is Italian for Sun) The house on the hill, my home, is the Villa del Sole. I look forward to having you come and enjoy this beautiful piece of land I call home. Learn more about this land: COVID-19: None of the camp sites are even in sight of one another. The sights are large enough so that you and your fellow campers can social distance from one another. I certainly respect your wishes and will social distance while packing you into your site with the tractor. You will pull into 495 Habersham Mill Rd, Green Shutter Cottage. There is a gravel drive that goes down behind Green Shutters Cottage. There is a Hip Camp sign pointing the way. I will pick you up there with the tractor to pack you in and I will pack you out as well. Vehicles are NOT allowed on the property. You WILL get stuck. Please be courteous and respect my time and let me know when you are going to arrive so that I can be available to assist you. A breathtaking view of the distant mountains greets you as you come on to the property as well as the majestic Villa del Sole, a Tuscan style villa on top of the hill, my home. The land drops away into rolling pastures dotted with ancient trees, some 300+!. The woodlands are filled with wildlife that surround the property where you are completely isolated from the world. There are two creeks that border each side of the property and join together and flow into Lake Habersham then into the Soque, the top trophy trout stream in the southeast. The water in these streams is pure. Please respect this and bring Earth friendly soap for washing dishes. I recommend Dr. Bonner's Pure castile soap. There is a creek by each camp site. The Woodland sites and the Meadow both have streams, fire pits, benches and latrines. I will pack you into and out of your site with the tractor. I do not allow vehicles on the property. You can walked to the sites if you like. I do welcome well behaved dogs. I have two that live here with me, Buster and Rufus. They will probably come pay a visit at some point. Depending on where you want to camp there are three possible campsites to choose from: The Meadow, 2 to 24 campers and, The Woodland site, 2 to 8, The Head Waters, 2 to 6 campers. The Head Waters site is down next to the creek and next to a meadow, very secluded, no latrine. The Meadow is best for larger groups of 8 or more. It is is a medium size meadow with flat ground suitable for spacing a number of tents out. There is a fire pit, grill/grate and three benches. It also has a creek and a latrine. The Woodland site is suitable for 2 to 8 campers but is a bit limited on places to pitch tents. It too has a fire pit, grill/grate, benches, and a latrine. It is by far the prettiest site. It's possible to sit in the creek in areas during hot weather(shallow water and COLD!. You are not completely disconnected from the world here(WIFI) but far enough away to feel isolated and private. In the bottoms, you are nestled in the woods and can see nothing around you but forest, not even the Villa and not the other campers in the meadow. You see no neighbors, houses, lights, etc. Stargazing from on top of the hill is not to be missed. I recommend Sky Watch app. Clarkesville is close by. Ingles is close by for forgotten supplies or a Starbucks fix. Yonah Cafe is great for breakfast and specialty coffees This is a small town, rural area, quiet and slow. There is plenty more to do if you just want Sole Farm camp as a base. Tallulah Gorge is 20 minutes to the north and hiking at Panther Creek. Alpine Helen is a 20 minute drive Many good hiking opps are close by, waterfalls, thrifting. The Chattahoochee is good for canoeing, kayaking and swimming. There are several stables that offer trail rides close by. You are allowed to walk all over the property using the mown paths but please respect the other campers and my privacy. I will be respecting yours.

The Quack Shack

This site is accessed via a short trail through the trees down a gentle, sloping hill, and finally by a short stairway, and as such it may not be easily accessible for campers with limited mobility. Located on the grounds of the Duckpond Pottery, The Quack Shack is a secluded treehouse perched along the banks of the French Broad River. The structure is an 8x10 A-frame that transforms via a hinged wall into an open-air cabana with a charming deck that affords spectacular views of the French Broad River and surrounding countryside. The interior of the Quack Shack, with its vaulted 11-foot ceiling and earthen plaster walls, provides a warm glow in a rainforest environment. It is furnished with a comfortable seating area surrounding a coffee table that can be easily converted to a full-size queen bed at night. On the outside deck are beach chairs and a chimenea available for use. The quack shack has electric power (1 outlet only). Amenities include a bathroom located a short walk away at the main building as well as an open-air on-demand shower located off the bathroom on a deck overlooking the French Broad River. Morning coffee and tea is available at The Tea Hut located just a hop, skip, and jump from the treehouse. A new two person wood fired hot tub and cold plunge is now located just off the steps of the treehouse. (Contact us if you’d like to reserve it during your stay). NOTE: The Duckpond Pottery is a working studio pottery and gallery that is open to the public. It is also home to occasional open-air house concerts on the deck at the pottery. The host generally blocks concert dates, however, it is worth double-checking with the host that there will not be a concert if you desire a quieter experience.

Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. Cherryfield Luxury Group Camping exceeded our expectations. The shelters and grounds were prestine and the covered platforms were definately the way to go car camping. Our tents stayed neat and the covered shelter kept us dry and cozy as we watched the rain on our second night without a fly on our tent.This campsite has thought of everything. There are grills an firepits beside each platform (each platform is large enough for 3 four person tents) and there are two common shelters with electricity and GORGEOUS bathrooms. It is funny to say, but the bathrooms were nicer than many hotels we've stayed at... large tiled shower with digital temperature controls, excellent water pressure from the large rain shower head, and, as a bonus, surround shower heads for that extra special something. I have never been excited by a shower or bathroom at a campground, but I made sure to shower before leaving because the experience was so zen. There is ample lawn space to play games, set up additional tents, and spread out for privacy, even during larger group gatherings. There are grills and grill tops by each fire pit making campfire or grill cooking easy, but delicious local restaurants just 10 minutes away also offer catering style menus that makie car camping and group gatherings even easier (the local BBQ and Italian were terrific). The grounds are meticulously kept and there are sturdy bear boxes to protect food and trash to help keep unwanted visitors from troubling guests. While we enjoyed some activities away from Cherryfied, we could have easily spent the entire weekend at the campsite. Not only are the grounds spectacular, but there is an easy walking trail to a lovely moss covered waterfall just steps away from the campgroud. The sound of the waterfall can be heard from the campground. It added ambient atmosphere and lulled us to sleep each night. The hosts were terrific and offered many suggestions for take out meals and activities. My only criticism is that the weekend went by too quickly. I did not realize how much my family needed an escape of this sort until we got the Cherryfield. I recomment Cherryfield without reservation. Take good care of this special place. We cannot wait to return.
