Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. We are working towards: Total energy and water independence Total structural material independence Food independence via aquaponic farming Providing solar powered refrigerated space to local food distros Providing local kids (and adults) access to training on permaculture and living with minimal impact on the planet. We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel. All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature. On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats. We enjoy our animals and nature. Weekend Trip to Surewood ForRest

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

This is a nice place to camp, near the interstate, so it's easy to get pretty much anywhere. It's a quiet fenced-in area with two superwide automatic gates. Using the MyQ app made it easy to go in/out. The side was wide and with 50 amp, water, and sewer.

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Beautiful property located in the heart of suburban Atlanta. To be honest, wasn't what I thought thinking this Aaron's land was further out of town? However, to Aaron's credit, he has chosen NOT to develop his gorgeous property and keep it pristine and instead turn it into an RV haven. Coming in from the highway with a large rig, it was a little nerve wracking coming in through town and into his property, but if I can fit ANYONE can fit. Lots of separation from others. Wonderful space.

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta. The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun. Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased. There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

The location, convenience, and safety of this Hipcamp is great. Easy access to bike trails, bike lanes, and the bus system into downtown Atlanta was the closest in the area. Adding and changing dates and times was easy. Having access to the gate codes made coming and going easy, also. The chickens and roosters added a hone spun touch.

Loved the location, we could ride our bikes all the way to the Atlanta Beltline bike trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The door to the street was very convenient, also. I loved the chickens and rooster visiting us, especially running to our RV when cooking and the smoke detector went off. Too funny.

Great find! Brand new campsite, paved sites, full hookups and views of the surrounding mountains. Very nice clubhouse and amenities. Pickle ball courts, the list goes on!! My parents are headed there this weekend. Boxcar Grille and Brewery 5 minutes away. Haunted house nearby too!! Will definitely be back. Scooter and bicycle friendly.

This was our very first RV camping trip and we honestly couldn’t have picked a better place. Erin, the host, felt more like a friend than anything else. He and his wife were so welcoming, easy to talk to, and always checking in to make sure we were good. Anytime we had a question, they were quick to help out. The property itself is gorgeous. Wide open spaces, peaceful views, and our dogs were in heaven being able to run and play freely. It was one of those spots where you instantly feel at home and don’t want to leave. The sunsets are unbeatable. Our camper is big and the pad had so much space, which was also great for us first timers backing up into a spot. Erin was so gracious to help us! We’re so glad this was our first camping experience - it sure set the bar high! Can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to come back!

What a gem of a property and hosts! We wanted to be a bit away from the Atlanta craziness and stay somewhere quiet and unique. Erin's farm is just that. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and backed into the RV spot without issue. Great 50A power and water. We also purchased some goat cheese and some great essential oils bug spray (on the farm's website). Our original 4 night stay was lengthened unexpectedly by some repair issues we had, and Erin and his wife were so very gracious to work with us as we searched for solutions. If you are ever there for a longer stay and need your tanks pumped out, we recommend The Poo-Lice out of Cartersville. They were great and familiar with this Hipcamp. Taylorsville is very small, but there's a great new place just down the road, Pop's General Store. More than basic grocery provisions, gas, locally made products, and a cafe. We ate there twice. Rockmart is about 15 minutes south and has most of the other stores you might need. Tip - if you are a larger rig, there's a very small bridge right on the north side of this property with a 10 ton weight limit. We're in a 39 ft 5th wheel and over that. Approach from the south! Our host let us know that when I asked. Most roads in this area are pretty narrow.
