GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season.

We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel.
All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature.
On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats.

Complementary coffee , hot tea, and water. There is a microwave and a mini fridge. It is in the woods by a stream and it is right beside my house where I live. Parking is about 150 feet walk down a small hill and a few stone steps. It is not handicap accessible. 3 miles to grocery and or Target/Walmart. The Chattahoochee river old Settles Bridge is 1/2 of a mile past my driveway trout fishing and kayak if you have one. I have a medium bike you can use.

I loved my time spent at Brooks Lake. Bill and Laura are just the best people. Communication was great when I arrived on where to camp, where to park, where the facilities were, etc.
The views are pristine. Beautiful trees, a gorgeous lake, you can fish, there are pavilions and picnic tables all around, and some friendly geese walking around as well! I would absolutely come back here again and look forward to it, already!

SureWood FoRest is a fantastic spot for escaping to nature. The sites are a way back on the property and well separated. It was a little muddy where I set up, but rain will do that. My dog loved being off lead and exploring nearby while I cooked and tended the fire. She was a little disappointed that the goats didn't want to meet her. We took some nice walks around the property, and drove over to High Falls State Park to hike the trail there.
I definitely recommend this camp if you're looking to unplug and unwind.

When I first pulled in, I saw little heads bobbing, geese! Then when I pulled around to my campsite the road led through a little creek any f150 or bigger could get through no problem!!! How awesome is that?! Then, a downfall, the power went out but we had the generator and gas hooked up in a jiffy, with that being said, the man offered to pay for our gas to run our small heater microwave and tv, along with an easy to remember wifi password which worked so well out by the small uncovered lake pavilion. I traveled in an f350 with a camper on top and had very little to no branches above head that got in the way. This is a fine camp and he was able to make us aware of anything when it went wrong or wasn't working properly.

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

The camp ground environment is absolutely beautiful. The serene lake was a dream & much needed after many hours driving in holiday traffic. The accommodations including hook ups & bath house met our needs. Wish we had a longer stay! Hope to stay again soon.

Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
Just 25 minutes from Sandy Springs, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is the spot to take a leisurely stroll by the water or jump into a guided rafting tour. Plenty of trails in the area offer riverside and forest hiking as well as pet-friendly spots for walking and picnicking. The surrounding forest features an array of group and dispersed campsite options, including remote spots for tents, RV camping, and cabins with showers, electricity, flush toilets, and water.
Stone Mountain Park
With 3,200 acres of nature to explore, Stone Mountain Park offers outdoor activities like fishing, biking, hiking, and golf. Take the walking trail up to the top of the mountain for stunning views of downtown Atlanta and the North Georgia mountains—or ride the cable car for an accessible scenic excursion. Cabins, yurts, RV parks, and tent campsites make it easy to stay right near the park—just book early to score tent and pop-up sites with hookups for water and electricity.

Featuring 30 acres of riverside views, Morgan Falls Overlook Park includes fire pits, boat docks, hiking, and a playground for family fun. When to go
Georgia’s mild climate is great for a long outdoor season—spring, summer, and fall are ideal for all types of camping, and September and October often see fewer crowds than in summer. These months are also slightly cooler at an average of 77°F compared to the peak months of June and July, which can reach 87°F. Winter camping is available, though it’s recommended to have some winter camping experience for mountain sites, as weather can change quickly. It’s also advisable to call ahead and check whether amenities are available during off-seasons.
