Water depth varies with rainfall and the season, and low water can limit fishing directly from the campsite's bank. The river is natural and unmonitored. Water level, current, mud, debris, weather, and water quality can change quickly, especially after rain. There is no designated swimming area, lifeguard, water-quality testing, shuttle, guide, watercraft rental, route monitoring, or rescue service. Guests must evaluate current conditions, directly supervise children near the water, and use properly fitted life jackets whenever appropriate.

The property features a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bream and has a nice little dock with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the water.
There are animals! I have a beloved Scottish Highland cow named Genia and she is joined with two mini bulls and two mini cows. Various numbers of Nigerian Dwarf goats join them in the pasture. There are also a few chickens.
Small garden beds and a fruit orchard are on the property and I usually have at least a half dozen projects of one sort or another going on.
Several acres are wooded and there is ample space for a nature trail that I try to keep maintained. Several of the usual types wildlife can be seen.
Are you an artist or a writer? This is a great place for comtemplation and inspiration. I myself have 40 years experience as an art teacher and professor. If you would like to have a mini workshop, let me help.
Water is available not far from the campsites. There is also a portable pop up potty/shower tent (with bucket and seat) available.

The bad : it was advertised as a single, private site. When we arrived there was another rv parked next to the site on the grass. I was mildly uncomfortable being there alone all day with strangers next door but ultimately it wasn’t a huge deal, as they kept to themselves, never disturbed us. It was just surprising the host never mentioned it when we arrived.
Also when we arrived the breaker was on at the pedestal and the other rv had power but we did not. We tried everything to make sure it wasn’t on our end… I messaged, called, etc numerous times but the host was unreachable. We were just about to pack up to leave since it was 94° and we didn’t have power for a/c and fridge, couldn’t even get the slides out, when my brother in law finally found another breaker on the donkey barn. It was a little disappointing not being able to reach the host for something pretty important.
Now for the good, which FAR outweighed the inconveniences…
The site is very spacious and level, concrete. Full hook ups. The chairs, fire pit and picnic table with umbrella included were very nice. The property is so beautiful. But best of all was how peaceful and relaxing it was. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside by the creek, playing with our dog, magnet fishing, swinging in the swings by the water (just be careful one was kinda rickety), we loved seeing and hearing the donkeys each day… all in all it was an extremely peaceful weekend away, and we would recommend the place and stay again!

I really really enjoyed tent camping at River Ranch! The land is beautiful. There are a few trails that you can walk along the river and see the wildlife. Doni and Laiza ,were very responsive to any questions that I had during my stay and made suggestions on where to walk and what to look out for as far as wildlife. My experience was a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back soon.

The river right next to the site was so nice. It was great to have the deck and the covered area that we used as a camp kitchen. We put up two tents around the fire ring and had plenty of room. Access to the river is direct and easy. There was an area the dogs were able to use to get in and out as well. It wasn’t muddy and we didn't have any trouble getting to the site in our 2wd trucks. The provided directions were very clear and easy to follow. The neighbors do have a driveway that passes near the site, but they weren't disruptive or traveling in and out after quiet hours.

We got to meet the hosts this time and they were wonderful and gave us fresh blueberries from their own blueberry bushes. :) we love this spot because are dogs can be (mostly) free to hang out and swim. My husband &I totally enjoyed our stay at River Ranch. We stayed in our travel trailer under the covered concrete pad surrounded by total beauty. So quiet & peaceful. Our dog loved playing in the river. Doni was very very helpful & kind. A fantastic Host!!!! We will definitely be back for another visit hopefully in the fall!!! This is one of the nicest HIPCAMPS we have stayed at!!!

This campsite was exactly what we were looking for. Tent camping with upgraded amenities that made it easier with two kids under three.
Tent was clean, there were games and outdoor toys available for the kids, the grass was well maintained and we spent our entire weekend barefoot.
Air conditioning was available if needed, but we didn’t use it.
We were 7 minutes drive from the Georgia renaissance festival. Our entire weekend was magical and our boys’s first time camping and first renn fest was absolutely spectacular.

We had such a great stay here. The owner was super cool — he personally gave us a tour of the property and made us feel welcome right away. The campground has a community garden, and you can tell they’re really investing in the place. They mentioned more paved lots coming soon, plus a gym and even zip lining on the way. We’ll definitely be returning to check that out.
Our spot was right next to a jacuzzi, which was such a nice surprise. The whole area was peaceful and relaxing. In the morning we enjoyed free coffee, and the bathhouse had a nice hot shower that felt amazing “rain shower head”. If you need to do laundry, they even have a washer and dryer for about $1.50 each— super convenient.
Oh and a must try, the well water on the property OMG , the best water I never knew I needed 🥰.
Overall, this campground was great. Quiet, clean, friendly, and full of upgrades coming soon. We’ll absolutely be back, especially once that zip line opens 😁
