We are a small 50 acre ranch in the panhandle of Florida. Most of our property is pasture. Our mile-long driveway is lined with Oak Trees. We also have a few acres of Mayhaw trees in a seasonal pond. We raise Miniature Tennessee Fainting Goats to sell as family pets. We pasture a half dozen sheep for wool, live with several Peafowl for beauty and entertainment, and a couple dozen Guinee Fowl for pest control and more entertainment. A hundred and twenty-five chickens supply us with plenty of eggs. A dozen ducks offer up a few eggs a day as well. You can pet the goats and Baboy, our Potbellied pig. Walking in the pastures offers a glimpse at the local variety of flowers, birds, and insect life. Stay away from the dozen bee hives we watch over. This is a very quiet and welcoming place. We do have three Great Pyrenees gradian dogs roaming the property at night. They are mostly quiet but can occasionally spend a bit of the night barking and chasing predictors. Coyotes, foxes, and raccoons are better just off the property. Hang out, relax, read, and feed the goats. Monticello has some great restaurants, antique shops, a well-equipped sporting goods store, and a hardware store. If you are a cyclist, there are hundreds of miles of clay roads through the North Florida and South Georgia countryside. There are very few cars and lots of views. We have some routes to share. The clear-water spring-fed Wacissa River is nearby. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from one of the businesses at the head of the river. The Aucilla River is also nearby. This is an absolutely fantastic place to camp and relax! Katie and Danny were very cordial hosts who met me shortly after arrival with some nice welcome gifts. Their own residence is close by but far enough away as to not be intrusive. The property is VERY secluded with a 2 mile long drive off of the nearest road rural, so if your goal is to get away you can't do any better than this. The deck on the water looks great in the pictures and is way better in person. Much more spacious than it seems in the app, with plenty of seating, a large sink and tons of counter space, 2 fridges and a side dock for catch and release fishing. Morning mist on the lake and borderline riot of frog singing at dusk! Plenty of room to walk around the lake and even an outdoor shower and rest room available. An enormous slab to accommodate large RVs plus plenty of other parking space, full hookups plus a separate hose at your disposal. Honestly it's actually more of a resort type setting than a camp, but who's gonna complain about that! Check it out and I assure you won't be disappointed!

Pavilion and picnic table next to rv pad for convenience, an excellent pond, a great pet-friendly space with walking trails and plenty of space to roam, a safe area even for our reactive dog, a brilliant sky view, and a wonderful host. We enjoyed an excellent tour with the host, great conversation and a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride in his Ford Model T's.

This is a lovely, quiet, private location! There were so many birds to hear and see, as well as a cute pond area with fish and turtles. The RV spot is flat and easy to access. We went in mid-April, and there was not really much of any fruit to pick, but the experience was still beautiful and peaceful. We also enjoyed seeing the cows across the neighboring farm’s field. Overall a really lovely place to spend a couple days relaxing!

For a county / municipal park, you'll think you're on private land. Situated between a pretty lake and a quiet airport, these sites are quiet. I was the only one there for a week, and only occasionally did a local walked roam around this side of the lake from the public park on the other side. This is as quiet and secluded as any other Hipcamp park you'll find. Definitely give this one a chance if you're near the Fitzgerald area.

We had an amazing time camping at the Fruit Factory! The property is beautifully maintained and incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. One of the highlights of our stay was the pond — we had a lot of fun fishing and spending time by the water. Tony, the host, was great and very friendly. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and was clearly dedicated to making sure guests have a great experience. This place was beautiful! I practically had it all to myself, but I realize it’s not the busy season yet. ;) But the spot was gorgeous- the lake; the sunset & sunrise was very enjoyable. There is some noise- trains & planes (small airport next door) & the road. But the birds made up for it! Lol Beware of lots of fire ant hills. Just avoid them & never stand in one place for too long. ;-)
