John’s place was beautiful, this was my first camping trip in a tent and it was perfect to say the least! Even though there are other sites, there is so much privacy. He also let us use his canoe which was nice Saturday afternoon to fish for catfish. Overall the trip was great and would recommend to anyone.

John and his wife were excellent host! They give you anything you need! The river tv site is very private! Even with another campsite nearby! It was like being in primitive camping in the woods! We have camped all over and are from Texas, and this was our favorite camp spot! We got to fish right from our spot! We even got to use John’s canoe!

Nice spot on the river with canoe/kayak to use if needed. Had a nice field nearby we let our dogs run in as there was nobody camped in the hideaway at the time .Host was nice and even told us about some trails he had been making out in the trees by the house.

Amazing property located on the banks of the river which offered an excellent spot to cool down after a long day of hiking. John was an exceptionally polite and professional host offering nothing but the finest that southern hospitality has to offer. My small group and I enjoyed sitting by the campfire, listening to music and talking while enjoying the soothing sounds of nature around us. It was a great way to decompress from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I would recommend the location and host to anyone!

Not just a beautiful spot on the river, but a great host as well. We are going again. A clean out house and beautiful spacious campsights to enjoy. Although remote, if you find you need anything, it's a short 10 minutes drive to a store/gas station. I recommend this campsite. A great river to enjoy.

John's land was a great spot. Wide view of the river with a wonderful view of the sunrise over the trees.
I highly recommend kayaking from the dam to the campsite. The rapids are fun and it's a great way to spend the day.
Having a composting toilet on site was a nice touch.
Overall the experience was an absolute treat and I'll likely be going back at some point.

Spacious, clean site, fantastic river view, super quiet. John is an awesome host. And the river itself is great for novice kayakers.
There's very little cell service down in that valley so be prepared to be blissfully without it.

The site was scenic right by the river and we'll set for a couple of tents. Awesome views and quiet surroundings. No camp sites were directly adjacent so you won't feel like you're in a group camping environment (like state parks). Super easy to get to. Thanks and I look forward to visiting again.
