It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River. Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time. Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. Another great trip to the Cove! For anyone who comes right after us, we set up your first fire logs in the firepit. We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.

This is such a gorgeous and relaxing spot. The cabin is clean and roomy and the outhouse is pretty nice lol! One of the best parts is that the dogs got to be off leash around the site. It was a perfect way to spend a few chilly October night. We had everything we needed: a fire pit to keep warm, cozy blankets in the cabin, and forest sounds to keep us company. I highly recommend giving this spot a try. George is a phenomenal host who was available immediately when I called him with a question. 10/10 would come back!!

I can’t say enough good things about my stay! The farm setting was absolutely serene — nestled along a river and within striking distance of the mountains. Every detail was so thoughtfully done, from the well-kept amenities to the little touches that made it feel both comfortable and connected to nature. What really stood out was the hospitality. The hosts were genuinely kind and welcoming, and they went out of their way to help me plan things to do in the area — from scenic spots to local hidden gems; they went out of their way to make my stay extra special. My fur baby and I enjoyed our stay at Gary's adorable camping site! Gary was so accommodating even though I had booked the site last minute😊 The homemade breakfast delivered to the yurt was so delicious! Definitely recommend staying and enjoying the beautiful location!

Weekend Trip to Nottely River Dome

My husband and I absolutely loved our trip here. They had all the essentials! It was very relaxing and peaceful. The only complaint is that the top windows are not as clean as shown in the pictures, so its hard to see at night the night sky as clearly. They had a hot plate, which I used for meals, microwave and little airfryer/toaster, large fridge, washer and dryer.

2 nights at Nottely River Dome

Glamping in the dome was overall really great! We loved waking up to the beautiful views out of the big window. Highly recommend. We only had issues with a few things. The windows were really dirty, river access isn't as direct as we thought from the listing and we had a late check out arranged, then 45 mins before 11, we were told we couldn't check out late. Disappointed in those things but overall still a really good stay.

Great location in the woods very peaceful. Great having best of both worlds privacy when needed yet access to pool and hot tub when you want it. Stephanie was extremely helpful with all of our needs.

this spot has so much to offer. we even added days to our trip because we didn’t want to leave. george is an amazing host!! he was quick to respond and super helpful when we had questions. don’t sleep on the river access/fishing spots included in the rental. really short drive from the site and tons of good space and fishing. the world definitely needs more places like this. recharged and happy diving back into reality. we will definitely be back. thank you george!!

**Camp Review for Hipcamp:** I had an amazing experience at this camping spot! It’s such a peaceful, private location—perfect for those looking to get away from it all. The space is huge, giving you plenty of room to spread out and enjoy nature. The best part? It’s super quiet, so you can really relax and disconnect. It’s also just a short drive to Blue Ridge, which makes it a great base if you want to explore the area. On top of that, the covered deck is a game changer. We had a couple of rainy days during our stay, and it was so nice to have a dry spot to hang out, eat dinner, and still enjoy the outdoors without getting soaked. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!
