We have been a WWOOF host since 2011. Over 500 organic volunteers from around the world have lived and worked at the farm so we are used to creating an atmosphere of community and sustainable living.  We have cleared tent camping lots for Hip Campers in front of the on-property lake with easy access to swimming and fishing. There are two solar shower stalls with hot water powered by the sun. It is specifically built to overlook the main blueberry field and peach grove. Stunning views at sunset. An outhouse / composting toilet is currently under construction with the rain water collection system now complete. In the meantime a portable toilet is provided.  A potable water station is available and built from re-purposed materials and wood harvested locally. We are a working farm. We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of stores with our blueberries. We also have an active u-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers. There are multiple springs within 30 miles in various directions - some of them of First Magnitude volume. Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. There is also a boat launch on the Suwannee River just minutes from the farm for boating, skiing and fishing. Bob's River Place is minutes away.The Gulf of Mexico is just 40 miles away. Scalloping season begins June 15 this year and runs to September. Oyster season lasts all winter. It was very peaceful. Very nice little setup. Had a fire ring and picnic table and that’s all you need. Me dogs roamed around and quickly learned about the cactus. No harm done and there are warning signs, my dogs just can’t read. It’s a nice little retreat away. We will definitely be back.

I had an amazing camping experience on Christine’s property. The location is absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful—perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Christine was a fantastic host: friendly, welcoming, and went out of her way to make sure everything was just right. I was traveling through and decided to book something last-minute. Before booking, I asked Dawn a few questions through the message link. She responded right back and told me I could head in and park wherever I'd like on her land. Her place was easy to find and I had my pick of spots as I was the only camper there. There are no assigned spots. You can park where you feel most comfortable. There were trees on the land that gave shade and some privacy. Her land is right off the highway so you can hear the traffic passing by. Dawn said I was welcome to have a fire and use the wood she had gathered. There were no official fire pits but I believe she said it was okay to make a fire wherever. Dawn was kind enough to offer me eggs for breakfast but I don't eat eggs and I ended up staying for only a couple of hours because I rested and decided to continue on my way home. I'm not sure if she owns the land where the trees start on the backside of the property (she said a lot of people park up against the trees), but I saw what looked like a trail that was cut in there, so you may be able to walk on it if it's part of her land? Dawn did mention that there are bears, and other wildlife around, so I'd bring a tote for your food or plan to lock it up. As mentioned- there is no toilet. It is carry in and carry out. Thanks again for responding so quickly and accommodating me on short notice Dawn!

Had a wonderful time tent camping with my dogs. I loved that they could run free (please not that there are cactus on the property - there are signs - so just make sure your dog doesn’t get pricked) and explore the land. We were the only campers at sites 1-4 so it was quiet. You can hear some road noise. Close to a lot of state parks and springs to do some exploring! We will definitely be back!

The host's father increased the size of the Property tremendously in the 90s and early-2000s, and today it encompasses 1, 337 acres. The Property is an old Spanish land grant, originally owned by the Sanchez Family, which used to be a large cattle family in the State of Florida. Today, under our ownership since the late 40s, the Ranch has never been developed or timbered in any large measure. Original heart pine forests, oak groves, and wetlands pepper the entire tract. The land has remained largely untouched and natural, which is rare, in a state that is rapidly loosing its natural land to development. Our Ranch is more of a natural preserve than a farm, and it is our aim to share it in limited measure with the public.

Goats, chickens (including a rooster), dogs and cats are domesticated nearby. Enjoy this private and serene primitive camping area in a forested riverfront neighborhood with a great public boat ramp a short walk away. Monarch Manor Farm is also an official Monarch Butterfly weigh station and safe respite for migrating butterflies. These beautiful pollinators have been on Earth about 175 million years from what we can gather from fossils. Beyond the splendor that would be lost from the world if monarch butterflies went extinct, there would be ripple effects in the environment.  Monarchs share their habitat with many other species of insects and birds. The birds would lose a food source, and their decline is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for other pollinators. If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. So when you stay here you are also making a contribution that provides a safe chemical free environment for these super pollinators to multiply once again. All three sites are right around the pond with great views. A combination of large live oaks, shade and sun All sites also have a picnic table, fire ring and grill. Site 1 has your choice of 110 and 30amp power. There is no power at site 2, 2A or 3. The bath house is equipped with 2 showers. One shower is heated by geothermal means and the other by a tankless hot water heater for evening showers. There is a foot pedal hand sink, portable-potty, and seating. All water is filtered and drinkable. There is a fish cleaning station equipped with a garden hose.
