Welcome to Smokey Acres! This property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires out there. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You can also take an OGFit class while you are here: 10 minutes of world class Calisthenics. Breathe control and guided meditations also available. We have water available and an outdoor shower. We have plenty of room yet no electrical hookups and usually do not have very large rvs. Campfires (burn wood only- no plastic) and music with respect to being a bit more quiet when its dark. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. Second time staying here. I had plans to stay at another state campsite, but three gate code was not working. Luckily, on a moment notice, Smokey Acres was available. The campsite was clean, quiet, beautiful. Bathroom facilities were decent. Site was level. Slight noise from traffic. No complaints. Its an easy weekend get away. My wife was able to set up her telescope for some night photography and I got plenty of reading time. I'm pretty sure a 3rd stay will happen in the next few months.

We had a great time there, we used the camper on site and another camper spot next to it. The sites are great. It’s private and surrounded by beautiful nature. The horses came to visit us every morning. The common area with kitchen and bathrooms is very well maintained. Bathrooms fully equipped with everything you’d need (from shampoo/ to towels and even a baby changer), and the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate makes us feel welcomed and appreciated. You can see that Rob and Mike take really good care of everything and they care about their guests. It’s definitely a special place!

We had a great stay at Penny Lane! Mark and his wife were welcoming and made sure we had everything (50 to 30 converter). Their land is nestled amongst pet horses, chickens and moss covered oaks. I was peaceful yet minutes from Mount Dora and several hiking trailheads.

We had a great stay at the Relic Ranch :-) Definitely a unique place with lots to explore. The campground area was perfect for us, very spacious and private with a good amount of distance between sites, plus the giant trees are absolutely gorgeous. The porta potties were probably the cleanest ones i've ever seen! If you venture towards the main property check out the goats, they are very friendly! Thanks again!
