There are livestock guardian dogs that protect the farm. They sleep lots during the day and patrol at night so they bark lots at night...
We are a REAL WORKING FARM. You can join in on morning feeding or collet eggs. You can watch or help with morning milking!
If you are real adventurous you can help around the farm!!!
You can pitch you tent in the pine forest or in the open area next to the ponds!

The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.

I am offering short-term rentals of my houseboat this season. It is located on the Apalachicola River, about 1 mile upstream of Neal Landing near Blountstown, and is only accessible by motorboat or paddle vessel. The houseboat is in a fixed location and does not move.
It is furnished with two beds, a futon, and a loft for extra sleeping space, and there is a generator for power. This is a primitive camp, not a luxury resort stay. You must bring gasoline for the generator if you want power. The beds have hygienic mattress covers, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and pillow cover. You can relieve yourself at the boat ramp porta-potty (~1 mile away) or in the composting camp toilet out back.
You must bring bottled drinking water or a Sawyer filter for river water. There is a propane stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit out front if you bring wood or collect it. An outside propane instant hot water heater with a shower head and privacy screen is available if you need to get clean and don’t want to hop in the river.
My goal is to offer a unique experience and provide a code to the door for the agreed time frame, not to provide every convenience. I would charge more for each stay if that were the case because it would be a real challenge for me to get to the houseboat and keep it stocked. If you come prepared for a camping trip, you will have a great time; if you come with nothing, you probably will not.
This is my first time renting it out, so all the logistics are not fully sorted yet. I’m willing to talk with potential guests to see if we can work something out if additional amenities or comforts are required.
This is an awesome camp for a hunting or fishing weekend, with enough room for a few friends to relax and enjoy some beers in the evening. This is not a random cash-grab rental property. This is my personal camp retreat, and I only want to share it with people who will be respectful of it and the river. More photos coming soon.

Weekend Trip to Goat House Farm
I loved the rustic cottage, extremely serene. Enjoyed petting the goats and taking walks to the lake. Melissa (the host) was very nice and informative. always a text or call away. Will be coming back!

I loved tent camping here! I have been here once before and wanted to come visit again—especially since it is in such a great area. The ammenities (bathroom, potable water, and commons room) make it all a little more comfortable without necessarily taking away from the beauty of being in nature. The farm animals are almost always very gentle and sweet, and the farm dog Toby was super loving and protective. The Goat House Farm were very sweet to all of us and answered any questions we had.

We love this property and the lake is great. Nearby are good stores and bait shops and the neighbors are quiet and respectful. We just spent a week here and how relaxing. Our dogs love it too. The lot is shaded most of the time and the deck is awesome.

The lot is great. We love the privacy and quiet with good fishing and views. We were there during Halloween and got to watch the trick or treaters walk by just before dark. We are already planning to go back.

We had a great time at the Goat house Farm. I have a Tacoma with a Roof top tent and it was the perfect spot for that. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. All the animals were sweet and well behaved. We will definitely be back with some friends next time!

I've stayed here twice now and I will say under the new management it is a complete 180 from last time. The park is actually kept up with. They were having a farmers market when we showed up. It is super quiet and priced fair. Only issue is they double booked my spot but they had it taken care of within minutes.

I loved the property. The lot is mostly shaded and the dock/deck is wonderful. It was quiet and semi private. Remember to bring a four wheel drive and at least 30' of water hose with a filter (city water) if you plan to drink. Jennifer was awesome and checked in on me at least twice. I will definitely be booking again.

2 nights at Goat House Farm
The Goat House Farm provided the perfect yet affordable getaway for my partner and I. The farm consisted of friendly goats, adorable chickens, and a dog named Tobi that made us feel right at home. The location of the farm was great, as we were able to go to various springs and state parks during our 2-night stay. The cabin included all the necessities and was comfortable. The host, Melissa, was very sweet and welcoming. It was a short hike to the lake that provided even more beautiful scenery. We quickly made friends with the orange cat that hung out outside the cabin, played fetch with Tobi, kicked our legs up outside, and made the most of our ideal summer evenings on the farm.

For a truly unforgettable experience, move the review over to the Goat House Farm! It’s rustic, it’s quirky, and if you’ve ever dreamed of hanging out with goats all day—this is the place. Seriously, if you love goats, this might just be the greatest thing ever.
A quick tip: bring hiking boots, Crocs, or any shoes that can be easily washed. You’ll be around a lot of goats, and let’s just say… you don’t want to be wearing your nicest sneakers.
If you’re planning to stay the night, we stayed in an RV and were able to plug in—super easy and surprisingly comfy. All in all, it’s fun, it’s rustic, it’s a goat-lover’s paradise!

Elizabeth was a gem! So friendly n informative about all her animals on her working farm. Fresh eggs, goat milk n cheese. We enjoyed the stay. Just park n relax on the farm. Geese were entertaining n lots of stars at night.
