4 nights at 30A Bay Hideaway

We've been sojourning here for almost five years. We drive our camper from Kansas City to the Everglades for the winter and stop here at the Bay Hideaway to and from to visit our six grandchildren that live in the area. It is a perfect Hideaway, with no 'stranger danger', a huge lawn to play on, a shallow bay for the kids to have fun catching crabs, a very long dock, a tree house, not to mention the quiet and the gorgeous views. I love the porch, and the trees and marsh for the excellent birdwatching. In the four days we were here this visit we saw over 15 types of birds including a Clapper Rail, a Bald Eagle, and lots of shore birds. Crystal and Nathan have been helpful and a pleasure to communicate with... very highly recommend staying here!

We loved camping at Sweetwater Daze River camp! The grounds were very well maintained and setup was a breeze. The river was beautiful, and the atmosphere was peaceful. We had a great time hanging out by the river with a nice fire and watching the stars at night. But the best was going with Jay on a river tour! He has so much local knowledge about the river and the surrounding area. The places we got to see were stunning! So be sure to ask him about his boat tour, you won’t be disappointed. This is definitely one of our favorite camp sites, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful spot on the river! Semi secluded campground, peaceful river and a spring not far up it. We brought our kayaks and could have spent more time just exploring the river. We absolutely enjoyed it and plan to come back in the future. The only inconvenience was access to the river was not the easiest but sufficient. We had a few friendly pups come by every day to check on us and make sure we didn’t leave any food out. Very nice site! Covered is a nice plus in the Florida heat/sun! Full hook up including sewer! Wayne is a great host and answers any questions very quickly. Site is quiet, and convenient to our activities across the bay (we went into Miramar Beach/Destin). We plan to stay here again! Highly recommend this site!

Better than expected. The view overlooking the water was amazing, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets that made it worth every penny. The spot was clean, quiet, and easy to set up. The shower house was small but well kept. Bring a 30 to 50 amp adapter as it states in the listing. Great stay, would definitely come back.

6 nights at 30A Bay Hideaway

Book it! We felt so lucky that we found this spot super last minute. The hosts were so kind to allow us to book the same day we were arriving. We stayed a week in this paradise. Sunrises and sunsets were world class. The campsite itself was level and clean with full hookups. Getting our 36’ fifth wheel back there was no problem at all. We can’t wait to stay here the next time we’re in town visiting family.

We really enjoyed the RV spot hosted by Wayne. We didn’t really need for anything, but Wayne was always available if we did. He is a great host. No complaints here. We will definitely consider another stay in the not so distant future. 🙂
