Come visit our friendly donkey (Henry) and Scottish Highland cow (Wallace). You will hear roosters, braying and some mooing early in the morning. The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away.

Where the camper is located there is a half mile trail through the forest, across from our driveway there is a 2.6 mile nature trail, a 15 mile biking trail, place to launch a kayak or boat, and we are close to wekiva and rock springs. not to mention a free 15 mile nature drive on the weekends just minutes away. plus we arent far from downtown Mount Dora. There is a primitive campground here too (North Shore Relic Ranch). looking for other stuff to see, look no further. lol in the center of the property there is alot of stuff to see. plane hulls, concert truck, cars, trucks, military truck, cows, goats, chickens, etc. its a unique stay for sure!

Great little vintage camper that has been renovated with full size bed and pull out couch
Bath house was a short distance away down a clear bath and well light. Both toilet closets d sheets were clean and bath towels, shampoo and conditioner provided

The hosts Rob and Mike made us feel so welcome and at home here on their Ranch. The ranch tour was an added bonus, seeing all their animals goats, pigs, donkeys, Miniature horses, and an even an Arabian Stallion and we were able to hold a baby goat.
We stayed in the RV Forrest Edge. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable. For us it was the added little touches of clean towels, shampoo/conditioner, coffee maker and a lovely tablecloth on the picnic table all added to such a wonderful stay.
There were also separate showers and restrooms at the pavilion, where you could also make coffee or hot chocolate, with mugs provided which was nice touch.
Some of the highlights of our stay, we're meeting the Donkeys and horses which would roam the grounds and also visit us at the RV.
Needless to say we loved every minute of our stay, and will be coming back in the near future.
Thank you Rob and Mike for great hospitality and for us lasting memories!!

Everything went well and everything exceeded our expectations and they were amazing hosts. The atmosphere was serene, if we needed anything they were right there. The showers and the bathroom facilities were absolutely clean and they were well stocked and those are probably some of the nicest hip camp hygiene facilities I have seen at the larger campgrounds. There was a great small kitchen area. Everything was accessible to us. We had animals come through our campsite like horses and mules and visit us literally right at our camper door and they invited themselves to my dog's dog food and I absolutely love that they made themselves at home where they are at in their own natural surroundings. I hope the horses and mules were happy to greet us when they came through. We had a wonderful tour of the farm with our kids and absolutely love those animals. It was such a touch of heaven to have what seems like Noah's ark right there. Lol. They have the utmost respect for the campers needs and have things available to anticipate a camper's need even if we didn't know we needed it but it was great! I couldn't have asked for better campsite in my opinion. We had children, our service dog and three adults on the site. All five of us could have slept in the camper which I loved because there were five places for people to individually sleep. There's bunk beds in there for the kids too. Cooking needs met and you bring your food. Wifi was pure. Thank you so much.

Absolutely outstanding!
It was our first family vacation and we definitely enjoyed every minute of it! We stayed in the camper with our 2 small kids and quickly realized I overpacked. There were plenty of extra blankets and fully stocked cookware. Waking up to the donkey’s outside of our window was amazing and seeing my 2 small kids reaction is something I will hold on to. thank you for the unforgettable memories, are will definitely be back.

We had such a great time! The set up is so nice and romantic! Bed was so comfy and warm, especially after camping for several days. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Very cute dog 😉 would highly recommend! Great location also. We went to Crystal river and it took 40 mins and I believe weeki wachee is even closer

3 nights at Lucky U Ranch
Okay, you may think these two guys and Lucky U are too good to be true by the sound of this and other reviews but they are not! This was the best HipCamp or other campground we have EVER stayed at! We used the camper because the weather was cold, and loved it but would also come back and tent camp because of all the amenities! They have thought of everything…. Clean toilets, hot showers, a shared kitchen, even hot cocoa, coffee and mints. Fire pits with wood starters and wood, tables with tablecloths and campsites that are really spread out! The horses and donkeys come to share morning coffee with you and Rob/Mike take you on a leisurely farm tour with ample time for goat/pig/dog cuddling :) The best part of the place however, are the hosts themselves Their passion and enthusiasm for all creatures ( even is humans) is so evident. We wanted to move on with them! Their staff and they keep the place spotless…. Cannot brag on this place enough! There is SO much to do in the area, we went swimming with the manatees, kayaking on crystal clear rivers, hiking…..
but even if there was nothing at all to do…. Lucky U is worth the trip alone!!! They are not charging enough….. better than most Air B N Bs than we have been to!!!

Rob & Mike are exquisite human beings, who devote more love and attention to their campers, than many people do their children. We came with an over worked dad, two moms with way too much on their plates, and three stressed out teens. Within a few hours of being on this beautifully property surrounded by loving, affectionate animals, everyone was healing and happy. The RV and camp site was perfection. The “Pavilion” had everything a hotel guest could ever want. Coffee, towels, cute signs, and tons of personal attention were just the beginning of what these dedicated hosts offer their guests. Because of our busy schedule, they rearranged their busy schedules to accommodate us and gave us the chance to meet and love their amazing farm and animals. We loved the peaceful setting, the mass of stars overhead, the fact that we didn’t have to bring anything but ourselves and our food, and the precious visits by the horses and the donkey. Lucky U Ranch was more effective in healing, resetting, and bringing our family joy and peace, than spending thousands of dollars on therapy, and it did it 24 hours of time! We love these hosts and the sanctuary they have created for all those who need it! 🥰❤️😘

Weekend Trip to Namaste Farm, LLC
My stay in the camper was very comfortable and cozy and just a hop off the highway on my way to North Florida. Directions were very clear and camper was super clean. The bathroom and shower building were adorable andvery clean. The host was very quick to respond and cordial. I felt really safe here as a single person traveling alone. There was a fire pit and nice tables and chairs.

The campground sites are huge. The staff is amazing. The amenities are so clean. Robyn and Mike pay such attention to detail and offer intricate special details that I never would’ve thought of but thoroughly appreciate. The animals are a plus.

Definitely served our needs. Dona was easy to communicate with and the place was quaint and in a peaceful farm setting. The main bed was comfortable. The pullout perhaps less so, so maybe bear that in mind if you’re trying to sleep 4. But otherwise, found the place charming and wish we had more time for a farm tour.

We had a great time there, we used the camper on site and another camper spot next to it.
The sites are great. It’s private and surrounded by beautiful nature.
The horses came to visit us every morning.
The common area with kitchen and bathrooms is very well maintained. Bathrooms fully equipped with everything you’d need (from shampoo/ to towels and even a baby changer), and the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate makes us feel welcomed and appreciated.
You can see that Rob and Mike take really good care of everything and they care about their guests.
It’s definitely a special place!

Weekend Trip to The Olive Grove
Was a lovely stay at the Olive Grove! So friendly and was such a comfortable stay. Loved the little Aframe cabin and the fire pit beside. Location was close to anything you need. Watching the chickens and ducks run around was fun of course. Make sure to check out the little store for olive oils, vinegars, etc!

Weekend Trip to The Olive Grove
The cabin tent was fun.
The gift bag with fresh eggs, olive oil and soap was a very nice extra.
I recommend arriving before sunset because finding our accommodations in the dark was very confusing. However I called the host and she came out and guided us all the way.

We had a great time on the property and around the area. Rob and Mike are excellent hosts and have a great operation. They give a tour of the property on Saturdays so we got to see all the goats, stallions, miniature horses, geese and donkeys! The spots are spread out nicely and the bathroom/shower area are top notch for an outdoor setting! The little touches do not go unnoticed. We stayed in the RV they have availabile and boy were we happy with it since some rain showers decided to come along on our trip.
We look forward to coming back sometime. Thanks Rob and Mike!

1 night at Grass Campers Country Cow Farm
Would recommend staying here. Super safe for solo (woman travelers) due to the ability to have a locked gate and locked on the door. The cabin is super cute and comfy to sleep. The hosts are super nice people. I highly recommend if you are looking for some alone time relaxing!
