Mike is a very nice host and this is one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. This is a beautiful place with really nice bath house- the showers are clean and spacious, and the complementary coffee/hot chocolate bar was lovely. The kids had a great time swinging in the tree swings. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to By the Pond...

We had the most amazing visit. Having my daughter get to see all the animals and fruit plants and trees. Sit by the lake and see bee hives! Definitely coming back!

Such a relaxing time at Lucky U Ranch!!! Rob and Mike were very friendly and welcoming. The property was very beautiful with great amenities. Showers were nice and so was the restroom super clean and also the community pavilion. Definitely enjoyed my stay and will be back again.

Weekend Trip to The Olive Grove Cabin Tent

After three long months of going to school and finals I really need this break! We really enjoyed camping at the Olive Farm. It was so super cute and relaxing. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and the olive oil, the outdoor kitchen was really useful and the bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. We will definitely come back and stay again. Thank you Deirdre for being available to always answer my questions!!

It's a fantastic spot. If you're looking for a central Florida type of get away you'll be hard pressed to beat this place. It's quiet, peaceful, birds galore. We spent 7 days here and I could easily spend 7 more. The hosts were great, they basically left us alone (in the best way, they were very attentive, friendly, and helpful). We traveled during spring break and had a beautiful site next to the pond. There's plenty of grocery and other types of stores within a few miles if you need anything but you'd never know it while sitting on site, it's very secluded and private. We'll be back for sure.

4 nights at Gulf Winds Wildlife Sanctuary

The animal tour was even better than expected! So many animals and interactive birds. Lemurs, ferrets, foxes, a dingo etc. The adults and kids loved this stay. We are hoping to come back next year for a couple more days. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We loved Lucky U! We stayed at an RV site with electric/ water/ sewage hook up. The site was near the super clean and amazing bathrooms/ showers. This place is peaceful and a great spot to unplug and hang out with no distractions. My kiddos loved the morning visits of donkeys/ horses. We brought lots of carrots and apples with us and we went through them fairly quickly 😆 The farm tour was cute— my kids enjoyed holding baby goats. We went to Wichee Wachee springs, Homosassa springs, and some nearby Caves (Peace and Dames Caves on Trail 22). The caves were a huge hit with my kids and we went back again another day. Mike and Rob were great! Very nice and responded quickly to any needs (our AC broke on our camper so we added a rented one to our Hipcamp reservation while on property and they had it out to us within 30 minutes. This was our first Hipcamp experience and it could not have been better!

Incredible place to stay with farm animals to feed, clean bathrooms, fast WiFi, fresh towels, all you can drink coffee and hot chocolate, and very responsive and friendly hosts. It’s the perfect place to bring a family, close to numerous state parks and natural springs. It’s worth the drive, regardless of where you’re driving from!

We had a wonderful stay at Lucky U Ranch with our three kids! The natural beauty of the place is stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. One of the highlights was the farm tour—our kids absolutely loved interacting with the animals, especially the playful little goats! The donkeys and horses even visited our site, and we got to feed them, which was such a memorable moment for the whole family. The hosts were amazing—super kind and especially great with the kids during the tour. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. Our kids are still talking about the free hot chocolate—they were thrilled! It was truly a great experience, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend it for families looking to unwind and connect with nature.

I stayed at the "Hobbit Hole". I had a relaxing stay. The campsites are spread far apart so there's plenty of privacy. I love seeing all the animals and feeding the donkeys.🥰

Very relaxing atmosphere with indigenous vegetation next to a nice size lake for fishing. Host hospitality is off the charts. Place has a welcoming , relaxed vibe. Perfect for a truck bed tent. My son and I enjoyed our stay & plan to be back soon!

Very welcoming and friendly. My tent site was secluded from others. The trails were full of amazing plant life. My favorite moment was when the horses visited my site! The ranch tour was also very interesting.

It's on a beautiful spring-fed lake. Campsites are spread out, so very peaceful and a very attentive host. You feel like you're far away from it all, yet it's very handy to everything if you need groceries, camp supplies or even a meal in a restaurant. A great getaway.

We totally loved our time at Lucky U Ranch! The Cypress view is where we stayed. It was so close to the bathhouse/kitchen! This was our first time hip camping. I think we were spoiled! Our favorites were the horses/donkeys roaming during the day and the tour they gave us of their ranch…goats, baby goats, etc!! So fun!! Bring some carrots!

2 nights at The Olive Grove Cabin Tent

My stay at the Olive Grove was perfection! I stayed in cabin two, a modest a-frame with comfortable accommodations. Deidre was available when needed, but her and other staff gave us the space to enjoy the property without interruption. Plenty of firewood was available for purchase, the bathrooms and outdoor communal kitchen were lovely and private for the most part. I spent much time here resting, journaling, and enjoying a private fire. I left feeling rejuvenated and peaceful, just as I hoped! Thank you Deidre and crew for the lovely space to breathe and reconnect!

1 night at Lucky U Ranch

I was looking for a place to stay one night while I was traveling solo to do a manatee snorkeling trip in Homosassa and so glad I found this spot! Can’t say enough good things about this place! Rob and Mike are amazing stewards or this land and put a lot of pride and care into what they do. The accommodations were outstanding with newly built showers and flush toilets, outdoor kitchen area with sink and lots of extra things you might need while camping. The campsites are spread out and provide great privacy. They even gave me some fire starter as an extra bonus. If you live donkeys and horses this is a great spot to get to interact with them, they are very friendly and will most likely visit you. Note that the donkeys do make some sounds at night so maybe try to get a campsite further from the animals if you are a light sleeper. The stars are absolutely stunning and there are hiking trails as well which I hope to explore my next visit. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay again!

We have always have such an amazing time at lucky U Ranch! Rob and Mike are fantastic and are always so pleasant. It is definitely our home away from home and absolutely beautiful there. If you are looking for a one of a kind experience I highly recommend making a trip there!

This place was amazing! I brought my 9 year old granddaughter here for a camping trip while she was on spring break. She told me it was the best trip she had ever been on! She loved all the animals, but the horses held the biggest place in her heart. She absolutely loved how she could just walk around with them and feed them carrots and apples. Priceless memories made! This place was well maintained with clean bathrooms and showers. We felt completely comfortable and safe! The hosts were awesome! Thanks Rob and Mike for an unforgettable experience! We will be back!

Stay by a lovely pond on 33 acre fruit and ornamental tree nursery property with great vibes. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!
