Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

You're also welcome eat anything that is ripe on the fruit trees or that is ready in the garden. You'll also have access to our gym and sauna which are shared. It's about a 10 minute walk away up towards the main house. There you'll find a Peloton bike, peloton treadmill, peloton rower, yoga mats, TRX straps, a few free weights, AND Finnish sauna! It's a sanctuary for humans too :) Please note there is no restroom or RV hookup for waste. Vegan Stuff! Because we rescue farm animals we ask that no animals products be brought in, cooked or consumed on property out of respect for them. Please keep it 100% vegan. If this is new for you, as it was for us at first, don't worry, it's way easier than you think. Oatmeal, avocado toast, black bean tacos, etc. Whatever you already love, just veganise it. And the nearby Publix, or pretty much any grocery store, will have vegan pizza, burgers, and nearly anything you'd crave. We know this lifestyle might be new to you but it's the best thing we've ever done. Your stay could double as a cleanse from the standard American diet. Again, the sanctuary lives up to it's name and is an incredibly special and peaceful place. Run down the tree covered road, do yoga under an oak tree, enjoy the sauna, take a Peloton class, read to the chickens (they love a good story), meditate with the pigs, and so much more. This cabin is spacious, warm and safe. We were in need of a place to stay. Stacey has many different options to pick from rent and RV spots to even a pioneer campsite. Now that's rad. We were also provided firewood that we were not charged for because it was raining. Stacey is a great host.

1 night at Spanish Moss Retreat

We only overnighted but loved this wide open field…. For the more adventurous (driving on a farm lane! Felt like I was at my Grandparents!) The gate pictured is the entrance. I did not pick up on that when I booked it so my dusk arrival had me worried. There is a well marked lane then you turn toward the green barn. No worries for turning around, plenty of space. We let our dog run free and had a great time. The electric is 50 amp so if you are a 30, be sure to have your adaptor.

Stayed 2 nights. Camping with tents. At the time of this review, there was a drought, so the river was extremely low. Property was very well kept, clean, and a great central location if you don’t want to be too far away from everything. Hopefully next time the rain has raised the river so we could do the full runs, up and down stream. The water was nice and cool, great for the warmer days we had in November. We will definitely be returning. Great site.

I was traveling through and decided to book something last-minute. Before booking, I asked Dawn a few questions through the message link. She responded right back and told me I could head in and park wherever I'd like on her land. Her place was easy to find and I had my pick of spots as I was the only camper there. There are no assigned spots. You can park where you feel most comfortable. There were trees on the land that gave shade and some privacy. Her land is right off the highway so you can hear the traffic passing by. Dawn said I was welcome to have a fire and use the wood she had gathered. There were no official fire pits but I believe she said it was okay to make a fire wherever. Dawn was kind enough to offer me eggs for breakfast but I don't eat eggs and I ended up staying for only a couple of hours because I rested and decided to continue on my way home. I'm not sure if she owns the land where the trees start on the backside of the property (she said a lot of people park up against the trees), but I saw what looked like a trail that was cut in there, so you may be able to walk on it if it's part of her land? Dawn did mention that there are bears, and other wildlife around, so I'd bring a tote for your food or plan to lock it up. As mentioned- there is no toilet. It is carry in and carry out. Thanks again for responding so quickly and accommodating me on short notice Dawn!

Jessica is extremely nice and goes above and beyond to make sure that you’re happy and doing well! They do their thing around their place but never intrude unless asked a question. It is obviously a working farm so don’t take offense to them doing things fairly close to you. Overall easy access, strong power supply and water with sewer as well which was nice if needed. We are fully self contained and didn’t need. Highly recommend!
