The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

It’s a slice of paradise hidden away from the hardships of society’s rat race. You can see to the bottom when the sun hits the water at the right time of day. It’s crystal clear blue like the springs that feed the rivers. This is truly a foundation of youth! Escape to Moonlit Avenue - A private treelined driveway leads to the primitive campsite with bathhouse nearby where the deer (and sometimes turkeys) have a regular route along with other forest animals and insects; birds abound in the trees. Goats, chickens (including a rooster), dogs and cats are domesticated nearby. Enjoy this private and serene primitive camping area in a forested riverfront neighborhood with a great public boat ramp a short walk away. The campsite is located on the back acre with cleared areas for tents and vehicles. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided. Spring well water access via hose at the campsite or at bathhouse with shower, sink and toilet. Whether you're in need of forest bathing, a dip in real fresh spring water (always around 70F or 21C degrees year round!) or looking to explore by water or land, this is a great location. Just a short walk from the Hollingsworth Boat Ramp which can act as a base from which to enjoy many areas nearby for fresh water swimming, paddling, boating or fishing via public parks and private outfitters. Close to Gilchrist Blue Springs and Ichetucknee State Parks, Rum Island Park, and Ginnie Springs Recreation Park. Birds especially love this area and the serenade from the treetops gets better each year with a wide variety of bird songs. Owls reside nearby and bats have also been known to fly in the sundowning sky! Make sure to bring a blanket for sitting around the campfire and stargazing if temps get into the 60s or below overnight. We are working on refreshing them, but in the meantime the upper steps are closed. There is an easy path down so it should not affect your enjoyment of the property.

The hosts were very accommodating and gracious. Tom gave us an incredible tour and history of the property. His animals are amazing. The site was very private and clean. The sink hole is fascinating, though we weren't comfortable swimming in it. Plan to bring a shovel and toilet plan as the one at the site needs repair. There is plenty of downed wood around you but bring a saw as much of it is too large to break. Be sure to visit Fanning Springs State Park in addition to the better known sites closer by. The swimming area is fabulous and manatees were present.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time camping here! It was very private and quiet. The views of the stars were amazing! This would be a perfect spot to watch a meteor shower. Tom gave us a tour of his property and let us feed some of his cute sheep and highland cows! Tom was a great host; he let us check out later because no one was camping behind us and was fun to talk to. We went to High Springs for dinner and coffee and that town is so cute! I was so impressed by the restaurant selection; I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. We especially enjoyed Colsie Coffee and Serendipity. The locals were extremely nice and we had great chats with many of them. We would definitely camp here again!

Tom and Judy were very hospitable and flexible, even when it came to making modifications in our party size. There were 9 of us and we had a great time at arrowhead sink. The sink itself was awesome, we spent a good portion of our time down there (bring some hiking shoes because it’s a steep decline to get into the sink and it’s a little wet and muddy). The location isn’t too far from a gas station and there is even an area with food trucks. Lots of fun!

Such an awesome experience! The land is beautiful and there's plenty of room to spread out. The sink hole is stunning and crystal clear! I'm still shocked that this natural Florida paradise is tucked away, hidden in the trees, just on the side of the road. Who knew? Bring a hammock and your bathing suit. You will not regret spending a night or two in this slice of paradise.

I’ve stayed at quite a few HipCamps over the years, but this one is hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had. The property truly has a little bit of everything- from friendly farm animals like donkeys, cows, and goats, to an incredible cave with its own private swimming hole. The best part? You’ll have these huge, scenic spaces entirely to yourself. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, making it an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. And to top it off, the host, Tom, is one of the coolest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. He was a pleasure to chat with and shared some fascinating stories about the land’s history that made the stay even more special. Magnolia sink is a beautiful and secluded site. I used this on a quick bike packing trip. I've stayed at the arrowhead sink site before. This one also has a picnic table, a fire ring, and a trashcan. The picnic table makes spreading out your stuff so much easier. The surrounding fields are beautiful and provide a huge buffer from civilization. Saw turkey and deer in the evening and morning. If it weren't for the faint traffic noise in the distance or dogs barking in the distance, you would think you're in the middle of nowhere. I love staying here and will be back for sure!

This was such a peaceful camp spot. We really enjoyed our time here swimming and just taking in all gorgeous nature around us. Having the sink all to ourselves was such a treat. Especially after experiencing the chaos of Ginnie on a weekend, getting to swim alone here felt extra special. It was also giving me serious Mexican cenote vibes. Who knew there was a slice of Tulum right here in our backyards. It was truly a tropical paradise hidden in plain sight, we loved every moment.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Dunagan’s Meadow! The camping area was completely private and deep into the property, where traffic and neighborhood noises could not be heard. The camp site is clean and really beautiful - vast and lush with a meadow reminiscent of “The Sound Of Music.” The animals were friendly and we had the entire area all to ourselves! But what really made the experience special was Tom and Judy…they are amazing hosts - really attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely kind. This was our first experience tent camping together and they guided us through the set-up process, made us feel safe and comfortable, and even shared some of their future plans for a vacation home on the property…it will truly be a unique stay to experience once it’s completed! We highly recommend this site if you really want to get away from it all, be in a peaceful setting, and leave feeling rested, regenerated, and looking forward to your next visit.
