This has to be the best campsite we have ever been to the owner is super nice. I can’t believe how lucky we got discovering this hidden gem. The campsite had everything you need, including water, electricity, and beautiful views. The water was so refreshing on such a hot day, and it was only a short walk from our tent. We have an annual tradition of camping for our anniversary and this has become our new spot!!!

1 night at Quartermoon Acres Cottage

Had a great time at the quartermoon cottage! Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a great view of the preserve where we periodically saw deer come and go through the trees at dusk and dawn. Great view of the stars at night, too. The hosts were very nice and welcoming and met all our needs for our short stay!

Weekend Trip to Wildflower Ranch

Camping at Wildflower Ranch was great! Some of our favorite parts about this property: the stars, the showers, and the chickens. The property is super close to Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens, which was another highlight of our trip. Highly recommend if you're looking for a private and serene spot to camp out.

gorgeous land, animals, hosts, everything was just breathtaking. we loved walking around the field & saying hi to all the friendly farm animals. we placed our tent under the trees & it was the perfect getaway weekend ^.^

Judy was an amazing host! She walked us around their property and let us see all of the animals. The property itself is beautiful with lots of flowers and beautiful trees. The arrowhead sink was like stepping into a fairytale. The temperature down there is 72 and feels amazing after being out in the heat. We had tons of fun and would love to come back.

This was my first ever experience renting out a private primitive spot and it was absolutely perfect. Since it was Memorial Day weekend and we (myself, my partner, and my little brother) decided last second to take a trip, there was no camping available. I looked everywhere online and stumbled across the only space in the area for 30 miles.. Magnolia Sink on Glenn Farms. The land we stayed on was beautiful and away from all the craziness of Memorial Day weekend even though we were 10 minutes from Ginnie and Itchetucknee State park (right in the middle) Judy was extremely helpful and took us to our location where we set up camp and were able to come and go as we pleased with no worry about our stuff getting taken. The wildlife came out all hours of the day, but especially at dusk. We saw deer, rabbits, Judy’s sheep and cows, and even a random Turkey that came pretty close to our camp. The sunset was also wonderful from the open field with the trees surrounding it. Judy even offered to give us a little tour of the historical farm, but unfortunately our camp got rained out (we didn’t come prepared no fault of the site) and we had to leave a day early. Needless to say this trip was absolutely amazing thanks to Judy and Tom and we will be coming back soon and getting another spot on their beautiful farm! Note to add: If you want crazy and wild and partying, this isn’t the place for you. This is an area to appreciate the world and nature and someone’s private land. Stay respectful

Nice quiet country camping spot. Great area for star gazing and very convenient to shopping. We loved how close it was to Cedar Key and enjoyed driving down there for dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Monarch Manor Farm

This is our third time coming to Rick's place. As always, it is a great place to recharge our bodies from city life. As a bonus, you will get a stupendous and gracious host full of hidden talents and surprises, just like his place. Although temperatures could hit the 90s during the day, at night it gets cool enough to turn off our portable fan and reach for a blanket in the middle of the night. Thanks again, Rick, for allowing us to stay at your place.

Weekend Trip to Florida Georgia Line River Camp

IT WAS AMAZING! Definitely coming back!! I loved tent camping there. It was private, quiet, and so much to do. We fished, went swimming, kayaking, and made dinner & smores over the fire. We brought our 2 grandkids ages 3 & 7. They had a blast and didn't wanna leave, we didn't want to either. They played in the playground area & rode the kids atv all around. We loved the beach area too! The sand is so soft and white! There was picnic tables very close by, so we had a place to sit and eat. Loved the bridge and hammock! I would definitely recommend this site to everyone I know.

Tom and Judy are just the best. Brought my little family here (gf and 4 dogs) and we had an incredible time. It’s just a magical spot. So much room for my hounds to run around. Can’t thank Tom and his fam enough for offering this to the public. I swam in the cave and it’s just absolutely surreal! We’ll be back soon.

2 nights at Neal’s Nest

Was a great stay for a few nights! We felt safe in their gated yard and they had TONS of yard for the doggos to play and run around freely. They include a few fun things to do such as a volleyball net, grilling equipment, gas full hookups for RVs and we felt welcome right away so we decided to extend our stay. There is a 31 mile trail to run on and walk the dogs about 20 mins away. The only downfall was there is so many flies all over and maybe it’s just a Florida thing but we didn’t let it ruin our stay ! 9:/10 recommend!

Weekend Trip to Neal’s Nest

It was a cute little setup! AC worked well and neighbors were nice. Only thing is we had to kill some brown widow spiders that were on the porch and close to the chairs under the table. I also paid for two bundles of firewood and never got them.

Such a sweet spot!!! So many things to do and such a great place to relax. Had electric hook up spots and bathrooms were in decent condition. Would definitely recommend!!!!

Tom and Judy were the best hosts by far amazing cool people. And very beautiful land me and my bf absolutely loved it we had the whole place to ourselves and Tom took us up to the 200 year old house and gave us a little tour of it and the cave. We got to feed the cows and goats!! It was a very cool experience i definitely will go again.

We stayed at Dunagan’s Meadow and had a WONDERFUL time. Tom and Judy are fantastic hosts. They make you feel like family. ❤️ We got the tour of their property and when we got to the meadow we saw them round up the cattle to put in the other pasture. The sheep were great as were the donkeys. The stars at night were beautiful! We will definitely come back. Thanks so much for an amazing long weekend trip.

Glenn Farm

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.
