Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the river, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space age pushed forward into the future.However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! Whew! That’s a lot for the tiny price of $27/night! We have a nice level, grassy campsite, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Nothing fancy, but we are clean, secure, private and gated. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful Central Florida!

We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 3 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each. We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units. We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 12 total guests. We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins. We offer our exclusive Magic M Meditations, Yoga, Plant Based Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Meal Options, Moxibustion, Kundalini, Tantra, Energy work and other holistic well-being services, Small Group Retreats, Boat Tours and Boat Rentals. Use of a private vehicle is required. The property is on a natural 46000 acre lake that is connected to The Atlantic Ocean by The St Johns River. This location offers abundant wildlife refuge. This can be exciting, but dangerous. Please do not feed or approach the wildlife. You may see alligators, snakes, otters, manatees, as well as several species of fish and birds, including, but not limited to, american bald eagles, egret, heron, seagulls, bass, mullet, crappie, bluegill and more. Please simply use caution and do not attempt to disturb the animals or their environment.

Currently the property is raw land. With very little touch of man. It is in an old country neighborhood that touches a newer neighborhood with plenty of dining choices. There is a natural unkept pond with mucky dark water that has Lilly pads. There are parts of the Econ river that rise and lower with the seasons. There may or may not be chickens running the property. There are fallen trees and overgrown areas. There are some internal fences with gates we are working to remove or restructure. There is parking for off grid rvs. No amenities are offered currently. We behaved leashed dogs are allowed.

The house boast an amazing view of the Saint John's river, the Lake Monroe Conservation area, and an intriguing historical Indian mound. The house has an unbelievable 130 feet of water front that looks as natural as it was when the house was built in 1949. Every room is flooded with natural light which gives a nature enthusiasts every opportunity to observe the constant flow of Florida's wildlife from wild turkeys, large cranes, gorgeous painted buntings, red cardinals, and of course the Florida alligators! This home is ideal for large families who love the outdoors; however, it also is set up for those who need their own space. Each bedroom is accessed through a large screened in patio which is an idea place to watch the sunrise each morning. The bathrooms are set up jack-and-jill style between two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. There is also a library area, set loft style, above the living room overlooking the amazing view and those below. The library has a small selection of books however there is table seating, a sleeping area, and wireless internet available for those who want to get away but need to still be connected. There is also a large capacity washer and dryer set up in the breezeway for all the clothes that will need to be washed for all your outdoor adventures. The home is within walking distance to an outdoor waterfront restaurant that hosts, on occasion, live music and serves your basic grill style food which includes gator. In addition, the home is adjacent to a full service marina which is great for boating enthusiasts. Being adjacent to the marina renters who bring their own boat, with insurance, have the option to use the Sanford Boat Works facilities which includes their boat ramp, covered docking amenities, fuel dock, and their low key clubhouse that has a well maintained pool and gaming area. The use of the Sanford Boats Works facilities is an additional cost that is paid directly to the Marina. Information can be provided on request. Although the use of the marina is a boon there are public boat ramps not far from the home and more than adequate parking for more than one trailer on the property; therefore, everyone can enjoy the river, Lake Monroe, and even Lake Jessup. In addition, there is room for a family to park their RV without obstructing the view from the home. The possibilities are endless for family fun vacation!
