..of some of Florida’s most beautiful beaches.
Whether your idea of a Florida beach getaway includes ice creams on the beach, walks through the sand dunes, or kayaking around bird-filled lagoons, Edgewater is the ideal spot for family campers. Hemmed in by the Indian River and the Mosquito Lagoon, and home to more than 150 acres of parks, the coastal city has plenty of family-friendly camping options. With kids in tow, you might want to check in to an RV park or holiday park with full hookups, wifi, and lots of on-site facilities, but it’s equally fun to pitch a tent by the beach and toast some s’mores on the campfire (make sure to use the fire pits provided). Nearby attractions include New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach, both popular weekend camping spots, along with the Canaveral National Seashore, where you can escape to pristine white-sand beaches and go tent camping on islands only reachable by boat or kayak.
