Currently the property is raw land. With very little touch of man. It is in an old country neighborhood that touches a newer neighborhood with plenty of dining choices. There is a natural unkept pond with mucky dark water that has Lilly pads. There are parts of the Econ river that rise and lower with the seasons. There may or may not be chickens running the property. There are fallen trees and overgrown areas. There are some internal fences with gates we are working to remove or restructure. There is parking for off grid rvs. No amenities are offered currently. We behaved leashed dogs are allowed.

Where to go

Richloam Wildlife Management Area

Part of Withlacoochee State Forest, Richloam Wildlife Management Area (WMA) spans over 50,000 acres of diverse natural habitats. Follow miles of well-shaded hiking and biking trails through pine forests, hardwood hammocks, swamps, and wetlands, spotting an abundance of native species. Wear boots, as parts of the trails can get muddy, or horseback trail rides are another way to explore the area. Richloam also allows hunting and fishing opportunities so long as campers follow local regulations for permits, licenses, and catch limits. Primitive campsites, some of which are hike-in and hike-out only, may come with picnic tables, grills, and fire rings, but campers need to bring their own water.

Lake Louisa State Park

Minutes south of Clermont, Lake Louisa State Park is primarily on the southern shores of the lake for which it’s named, but Lake Louisa isn’t the only lake here. The state park is also centered around Dixie Lake and Hammond Lake, with its main campground nestled in between. With 30- and 50-amp hookups, some RV sites are set on level concrete pads with a paved connection to the bathhouse with restrooms and hot showers. Other options include hammock camping, an equestrian primitive camp, and comfortable cabins. While here, fish for bluegill and largemouth bass, hike or bike over 20 miles of winding trails, or go paddling on Dixie Lake—kayak and canoe rentals are available.

Universal Orlando Resort

For a completely different kind of experience, visit one of the largest theme park resorts in Florida. Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure offer movie-themed attractions, thrill rides, and live shows, featuring such major franchises as Harry Potter, Minions, Transformers, and Jurassic Park. Make a splash at the Volcano Bay water park or indulge at Universal CityWalk. A few miles south of Universal Orlando is Walt Disney World Resort for more magical memory-making. Several RV parks are conveniently set near both resorts, accommodating travel trailers and campervans with full hookups for electricity and water, picnic areas, wifi, and clubhouses.

When to go

With its subtropical climate, Clermont weather is generally warm and sunny year-round. Peak summer months can be hot and humid, in the high 80s, with a more significant insect population. For milder weather and potentially more pleasant outdoor experiences, consider camping in the spring and fall. These shoulder seasons are also great for birdwatching, as migratory birds pass through the area. In the winter, daytime highs hover in the low 70s. From late fall to early spring, look for manatees migrating along nearby natural springs.
