Weekend Trip to Huck and Buck Farm Sanctuary

We had a great stay at Huck & Buck Farm! The tiny home was perfect for our couple's getaway. It is tiny but it had everything we needed. Bed (pretty sure it was a queen size), refrigerator, microwave, Keurig and coffee bar, plates, silverware, cups, and more. There was a deck with seating and a private hot tub, a firepit with additional seating for chillin' or cooking. And very nice bathrooms. The tiny home also has air conditioning and heating, so it is suitable to stay in all year. Andrea & Michael are hospitable and were responsive to a couple of additional needs we had during our stay. The area is quiet yet close enough to the main town for places to eat if you don't want to cook on the fire pit or if the weather isn't cooperating. We'll be back again!

Weekend Trip to Countryside Horse Farm

Loredana's horse rescue farm is a apecial and unique getaway. She has put much love and charming touches throughout the property, and Loredana herself a kind soul. If you enjoy the presence of animals (especially horses, cats and a rooster) you will find it very magical to be amongst them. The cabin is very comfortable for one person, as well as the outdoor setup to chill, read, cook and enjoy a fire. Loved my stay and surely want to go back.

I love this place so much. Everyone there was so nice. The cabin was so cute. The walls in the kid room was dirty, but it did take away from how nice this place was; and it was so close from OC we loved it! We can't wait to come back again.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Agape! The property is quiet, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Shawna, the host, was incredibly gracious—she even laid out firewood for us ahead of our arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The site was spotless and easy to settle into. The sunrises and sunsets here are absolutely stunning, with plenty of serene coastline to explore. It’s the kind of place that naturally invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. While there is a small shooting range nearby, it was sporadic and didn’t last long—maybe about an hour—and it wasn’t loud enough to disturb the birds or the calm vibe of the property. I’m already planning to return in the fall—those views will be breathtaking with the foliage. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking to unplug and soak in some peace and beauty.

Exactly what I needed. I did a solo adventure and I am a single gal in her 20’s and felt completely safe! Loreadana was so nice and showed me around the entire property and introduced me to all the animals who were extremely friendly and safe! I slept in the single person enclosure and it did the trick just fine. Clean, had electricity. The bathroom is more of an outhouse vibe which I was completely fine with. The campsites looked super nice, definitely will try those next. And there is a large flowing creek near by where you can fish too! Great experience!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Lakeside Haven @ the Shore

Staying on Robin’s property felt like a dream. Private, beautiful, and serene. The loft is cozy, clean and filled with so many things to do (games, books, puzzles, etc). We enjoyed biking to the Cape May Zoo (private bike path behind the house), exploring the property (there’s SO MUCH to see) and relaxing. It was a rejuvenating trip, and we can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer. Even in the off-season, there is so much to do!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Huck and Buck Farm Sanctuary, and I must say it was an incredibly relaxing and heartwarming experience. This unique "bring your own tent" retreat offers a peaceful escape where you can connect with nature and, most importantly, some of the sweetest farm animals I've ever met.The highlight of my stay was definitely the animals. I spent hours interacting with the chickens, whose beautiful and vibrant feathers made each one feel like a work of art. The large turkeys were such characters—so talkative and full of personality! I had so much fun just listening to their distinctive calls.The ducks were absolutely lovable, and the goats were friendly, playful, and so photogenic! Of course, I can’t forget the pigs—especially the big, friendly ones that seemed to just want belly rubs all day long. But the true star of the show for me was the adorable little pot-bellied pig, who I couldn’t resist renaming "Oreo" due to his charming personality and color.The farm also had some sweet, curious cats roaming around, and I had a few delightful encounters with them. And let's not forget the pond duck—so cute and peaceful, adding to the serene atmosphere of the whole place.As for the facilities, I was beyond impressed with the bathroom! It was so luxurious and cozy, with a warm, welcoming vibe, complete with little good luck charms scattered around. It was a small detail, but it added to the overall sense of comfort and care the farm provides.

I loved tent camping at Huck & Buck. Andrea was incredibly accommodating and made sure we were comfortable in preparation for a pretty cold night. The bathroom is pristine and a nice touch if you need to ease into tent camping. We loved being able to see the animals and watch them play around. I highly recommend booking this space!

Super quick stop on our road trip but plenty of time to experience wonderful hospitality. The clean bath house with hot water was the best. Andrea checked on us even though we arrived late and gave me a tour of the land to help us settle in. I would definitely stop again if I’m out this way!

What a fun night we had at Huck & Buck Farm! It was our maiden voyage for our new RV and Andrea and Michael's farm could not have been a better choice for us. Andrea is so patient and generous and made sure we had a full tour of their place. I honestly don't think she ever stops working. LOVED all the animals -- too many chickens to count, ducks, goats, pigs, and turkeys. It's amazing what they have done with their farm and I want to return to see what they build next. We brought home eggs and chicken and would have brought home some late season peppers but time got away from us. We also brought our two dogs and their property is plenty big enough to take nice walks.

If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles. We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up. The yurts are strictly NO smoking inside, no vaping and no marijuana smoking as the next guest will appreciate an odorless welcome and you'll avoid the extra "deep cleaning fee." 4. Which yurt should I choose? The main difference between the Painted Pony yurt and the Stargazer yurt is the roof and setting. The Stargazer yurt has a clear roof and sits in the open. (Keep in mind elements out of our control like wind, dust, and pollen counts can make the Stargazer yurt roof less clear.) The Painted Pony yurt, has a regular canvas roof and sits in the shade. Both yurts have 3-speed fans included and do not have AC or heat. 5. Extra guests in the yurt? The yurts have a strict 2-guest-only policy. 6. Can friends (not on my reservation) come visit me? No. All visitors here must be registered guests as the public is not granted access here. 7. How far is the beach? North Ocean City, MD and Fenwick Island DE are both only 5-6 miles away. 8. How secure is the camping area? There is a coded entrance gate at the property entrance along with 6 outdoor security cameras that stay on 24 hours a day for guest and livestock safety. The locations are 2 at the entrance gate, barn house entrance/building overhang, tiny house entrance, horse grooming area, parking area, and inside the stables. These outdoor cameras also record at night and are available for any emergency services to review. 9. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Go ahead! take selfies with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the rollover challenge with Charlotte the pig, and hay the jumping goats. As a bonus, Shelley will also let you check out the inside of any unoccupied Airbnbs on the property to plan your next trip! Chores N' tour is $10/ person. 1 hr. long. Also on-site, are Brush N' Bond horse grooming sessions, horse whispering lessons, and farm animal paint sessions. Once you book, send Shelley a message with your chosen ranch activity! 11. Do guests have access to the entire ranch? No, guests have access to the glampground, cornhole, and parking area here at the ranch. The rest of the property is reserved for our animal rescue (habitats) and fenced off for safety. Animals are easily viewed from all locations while the goats can be pet and fed anytime if you bring some baby carrots or string beans. 12. What sounds can I expect to hear? Expect to hear typical sounds of nature such as crickets, owls, and the crackling of a fire. In the morning, you'll hear our sweet goat trio, Charlotte the pig, and her excited "oinks" along with the occasional "moooo" and possibly a crow from the rooster and a "honk" from Petey our peacock who is ready for breakfast! 13. ABOUT Cowtown Cabins offers a blend of educational ranch experiences that cater to both overnight guests and the public. WHAT TO BRING - A cooler with you to keep drinks and food cold in the yurt and at the beach. (Ice is for sale less than a mile away at a gas station or grocery store) - Your own bath towels, beach towels and bathroom supplies - An extra fan in the summer - Electric blankets/ thick blankets in the fall - Firewood and charcoal for grilling (we also have some for sale on-site) - Bring everything you need to camp out comfortably! GREAT LOCATION Cowtown is located in Selbyville, Delaware which sits near the border of Maryland and is 6 miles to North Ocean City, MD. The property has been a horse-rescuing ranch for over two decades and is now expanding to offer many unique structures in an "Old West" theme. Surrounding the ranch are restaurants galore, grocery stores, pharmacies, McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and more! Thunder Lagoon Waterpark and live concerts at Freeman Stage are also nearby! Cowtown Cabins is open year-round and is available for couples, families, groups, organizations, retreats, and even the occasional western-themed wedding. FAQ's 1. Can I bring my kids? Children must be ages 12yo and up for both yurts (Stargazer and Painted Pony.) Remember there is a 2-guest max due to fire code. 2. Can I bring my pet or service animals? No. We are ADA service animal exempt due to safety issues with animals on display that are natural prey/ natural predators of animals including dogs. We also not not allow pets due to this. 3. Can I smoke? The yurts are strictly NO smoking inside, no vaping and no marijuana smoking as the next guest will appreciate an odorless welcome and you'll avoid the extra "deep cleaning fee." 4. Which yurt should I choose? The main difference between the Painted Pony yurt and the Stargazer yurt is the roof and setting. The Stargazer yurt has a clear roof and sits in the open. (Keep in mind elements out of our control like wind, dust, and pollen counts can make the Stargazer yurt roof less clear.) The Painted Pony yurt, has a regular canvas roof and sits in the shade. Both yurts have 3-speed fans included and do not have AC or heat. 5. Extra guests in the yurt? The yurts have a strict 2-guest-only policy. 6. Can friends (not on my reservation) come visit me? No. All visitors here must be registered guests as the public is not granted access here. 7. How far is the beach? North Ocean City, MD and Fenwick Island DE are both only 5-6 miles away. 8. How secure is the camping area? There is a coded entrance gate at the property entrance along with 6 outdoor security cameras that stay on 24 hours a day for guest and livestock safety. The locations are 2 at the entrance gate, barn house entrance/building overhang, tiny house entrance, horse grooming area, parking area, and inside the stables. These outdoor cameras also record at night and are available for any emergency services to review. 9. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Go ahead! take selfies with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the rollover challenge with Charlotte the pig, and hay the jumping goats. As a bonus, Shelley will also let you check out the inside of any unoccupied Airbnbs on the property to plan your next trip! Chores N' tour is $10/ person. 1 hr. long. Also on-site, are Brush N' Bond horse grooming sessions, horse whispering lessons, and farm animal paint sessions. Once you book, send Shelley a message with your chosen ranch activity! 11. Do guests have access to the entire ranch? No, guests have access to the glampground, cornhole, and parking area here at the ranch. The rest of the property is reserved for animal pastures (habitats) and fenced off for safety. Animals are easily viewed from all locations but not touched. 12. What sounds can I expect to hear? Expect to hear typical sounds of nature such as crickets, owls, and the crackling of a fire. In the morning, you'll hear our sweet goat trio, Charlotte the pig, and her excited "oinks" along with the occasional "moooo" and possibly a crow from the rooster and a "honk" from Petey our peacock who is ready for breakfast! 13. What are the check-out procedures? We ask that guests leave the yurt the way they found it (neat and tidy.) We also love to brag about any super clean guests!
