The Terry is an adorable vintage 1970’s camper trailer nestled in the back corner secret garden area of Marina 59, a marina on the bayside of Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC filled with creative structures, beautiful boats and wonderful wildlife. The RV has a queen size bed that comfortably fits 2. There is a new, powerful AC, a toaster oven, a fridge, a hot water kettle, and all the kitchen basics. The bathrooms, with large comfortable showers, are a quick walk away at the Marina entrance. Your rental includes parking in the marina lot and a clicker to come and go as desired. Outside the doors, there’s a decent super market, a Dunkin’ Donuts, and a gas station. The beach is only three blocks away. The beach where numerous surf lessons take place is 9 blocks away. We are close to JFK airport - super convenient, but you will hear some plane traffic overhead. We're the perfect spot to stay if you have a layover at the airport and want to head to the beach. The marina is also home to Sail Rockaway, that has sailing lessons and trips along the beautiful Jamaica Bay. Great birdwatching as well because we are located at the edge of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. It's truly a magical spot!

This is also an ideal space to relax and work remotely, as it has an independent antenna to provide internet access to the entire unit and all the electronic equipment you need.
I will ensure the unit is delivered to you with all its accessories in working order so you won't have any problems. I always suggest guests ask any necessary questions so they can use it without any issues. On the day of arrival, you will receive another message to refresh your knowledge of how to use the campervan.
Close to the beach and sand, the city offers activities nearby so you won't have to go far to enjoy them. This campervan has all the qualities of a house, with the only difference being that you're on wheels—something truly delightful. I have two bicycles so you can take a ride along the bike path on the beach and enjoy the majestic scenery. A different way to have fun and experience something new. The Terry is an adorable vintage 1970’s camper trailer nestled in the back corner secret garden area of Marina 59, a marina on the bayside of Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC filled with creative structures, beautiful boats and wonderful wildlife. The RV has a queen size bed that comfortably fits 2. There is a new, powerful AC, a toaster oven, a fridge, a hot water kettle, and all the kitchen basics. The bathrooms, with large comfortable showers, are a quick walk away at the Marina entrance. Your rental includes parking in the marina lot and a clicker to come and go as desired. Outside the doors, there’s a decent super market, a Dunkin’ Donuts, and a gas station. The beach is only three blocks away. The beach where numerous surf lessons take place is 9 blocks away. We are close to JFK airport - super convenient, but you will hear some plane traffic overhead. We're the perfect spot to stay if you have a layover at the airport and want to head to the beach. The marina is also home to Sail Rockaway, that has sailing lessons and trips along the beautiful Jamaica Bay. Great birdwatching as well because we are located at the edge of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. It's truly a magical spot!

The Terry is a perfect retreat for surfers, sun lovers, bird watchers and anyone who loves to enjoy all that Rockaway has to offer. And it’s an easy breezy subway / bus / ferry / drive away from the city!

I took this trip with my adult son and I was as tranquil and a bounty of wildlife. The sunsets are great and you’re perch on a hill overlooking a lake so quite scenic. If you want to totally disconnect be at peace and rough it a little this is the place for you. There is a a generator for light, heat and a refrigerator. We took our own portable compost and a small rinse king system to wash up..
Cooking outside was a thrill for my son as well, we gather wood from the surroundings.
Konsztantine was very responsive and quite hospitable. Quick responses to whatever we asked. Best in class host. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Evan & Laura have an amazing set up. They had great communication during our stay and in the week leading up. They checked in to see if we needed anything prior, including the propane heater, which in 30-something degree weather was an essential and extremely helpful. The site truly had anything you could ever need. We were extremely impressed and surprised by the outhouse with toilet, shower, and usb-c chargers(!) inside. Reading reviews beforehand were helpful and led us to pack lighter, given the steep climb up. But the climb was definitely worth it. We also loved how Evan showed us how the goats and chickens were fed. My pup definitely loved running up and down the hill to the site and marveled (sometimes a little too much lol) at the goats and chickens she was seeing for the first time! Evan was both kind and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Luxury Camping at 'Higher Ground'
Staying here was a magical experience! We went in mid-October and the leaves were so beautiful. The campsite has everything you could possibly need, the bed was super comfy, and the table was great for cooking and eating breakfast on. The outhouse is extremely clean and even has a shower! The area around the site is stunning too we even saw some deer. The best part is Evan allowed us to help feed the goats and the chickens in the morning! You won't regret staying here

Lots of fun! We are in our 60s and the hike up to the campsite is rough but absolutely doable. The remote setting is very peaceful and Evan is an attentive host. The tent was so cozy!

Dr Ivette’s farm house is cute and very comfortable. She goes over and above to make your stay comfortable. The farm is amazing and interesting. The beach is a few minutes walk. Definitely worth the trip.

Stayed overnight in the remodeled horsetrailer in the field. Quiet. Large enough for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Hosts were nice and the horses were beautiful.

The camper is well thought out and in such a cute marina. Everyone is really friendly and it’s great to sleep in the bay breeze! Siri was helpful and communicated throughout. Recommend this cozy stay!

It was so peaceful there! Isolated but in a neighborhood, quiet sounds of road nearby but not distracting to the peace. All accommodations were as told, nothing fancy but all necessities met and site was clean. My recommendations are to make sure the site is stocked with firewood which Evan did for me, and the heater rental is simply a must in the fall. Like other reviewers said, pack light due to the climb and carry simply made food needs. I would happily return.

Weekend Trip to Basecamp Bluffs
The patterns in a yurt are relaxing to start with, and the elegant furnishings only add to the revere. Stove-top and microwave so be sure to arrive with food as the nearest store is some distance away. The Italian coffee maker is amazing. Every shower in America should install fresh air and sunshine!

We had an amazing time at this campsite! Check-in was super easy, and the location is very secluded — it honestly felt like we were the only ones there, which made it extra peaceful. The site came stocked with firewood, a lighter, and even some cooking supplies, which was such a nice touch. The host was fantastic as well, with quick and friendly communication that made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet getaway!
