Weekend Trip to The Bluebear at Y Double-K Ranch

Awesome, secluded spot Cesar has with amazing views. It was the perfect spot for my wife and I to get away for the weekend.

2 nights at Neverland/Camp Wilder

Stayed here for a long weekend in the mountains. Views and temps were great and the cabin felt private. Be careful to follow the directions to get there- Google maps alone can take you on some funky routes on the dirt roads nearby. Be aware the land surrounding the cabin is quite sloped, and you’ll have to climb a metal utility ladder ten feet up to get to the loft - that might not be for everyone.

1 night at The Bluebear at Y Double-K Ranch

This site was even better than expected. It had stunning views of the mountains and was very secluded. The cabin had lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel luxurious. We loved making dinner on the propane grill and having a fire in the stove. We also loved watching the stars, both while sitting outdoors and from the comfort of the couch through the large cabin window. I highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Bluebear at Y Double-K Ranch

Had such an amazing stay at the Blue Bear. The view was incredible and everything was just as mentioned in the listing. Starlink worked great and the grill was just what we needed! Cesar and his family were so welcoming and brought us extra sheets/blankets, even showed us their goats, chickens, and dogs on our way out. Hoping to return the next time we visit RMNP!

Weekend Trip to Neverland/Camp Wilder

Such a great spot! Even though this site is less than 90 min from Denver and 45 from Boulder, you feel like you’re a million miles away. We stayed in the little cabin, and there’s another campground not far from there but we couldn’t see or hear them. Using the ladder and the loft we couldn’t have easily slept our family of five in the cabin, we brought a tent but didn’t need it. The view from this place is breathtaking and the lush forest around it was gorgeous too. We saw deer, and there’s another campground fattest wild rabbit I’ve ever seen! We’ll be back!

3 nights at Riverside Cabins- 20min to RMNP!

Riverside Cabins is in a great location in the mountains near a lovely small town and not far from RMNP in Estes Park. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and also around the fire pit by the water. The cabins were clean and had everything we needed for a 3-day stay. We liked having one of the cabins with a grill and back patio.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10 out of 10) My daughter and I recently enjoyed a truly magical mountain getaway at Blue Bear Retreat, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the absolutely stunning views that surrounded us. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for our stay. The tiny home was equipped with all the nice little touches that made our experience even more enjoyable. The outdoor bathroom was immaculate, which was a big plus, and I appreciated the attention to detail throughout the cabin. One of the unexpected highlights was the Starlink Wi-Fi, allowing us to stay connected while still enjoying the serene mountain atmosphere. The cabin was cozy and warm, thanks to the adorable mini woodstove. The outdoor wood stove added a charming ambiance to our evening. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had a restful night after our day of adventure and hiking. Overall, we had the best time at Blue Bear Retreat. It’s a perfect spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature. We are already planning our next visit! If you’re considering a stay here, I highly recommend it—10 out of 10!

We really liked the Riverside Cabins. The staff did a good job of making sure we were settled in and had what we needed. The cabin was clean, modern and well equipped. The outside area was beautiful, especially the fire areas alongside the creek. We hope to go again.

Great little cabin that our girls loved. Lots of thought went into this place. Good views, lots of privacy, super quiet. Never met Cesar personally but he was very responsive and welcoming. We weren’t able to enjoy the outdoor stove due to high wind, but can’t blame anyone for that except nature. We would definitely come back for another quick getaway.

Staying at Blue Bear was absolutely amazing! The views are breathtaking and the cabin is incredibly cozy! Cesar’s directions were very helpful - echoing that you should get the directions prior to heading up the mountain as you’ll likely not have service. You should also bring your own water! We cannot recommend this place enough. The little wood burning oven was perfect for warming up the cabin and provided such a fun element! Did we already mention the views? 12/10!

The surrounding area was beautiful, with a stream right behind our cabin. We had a private hot tub, which was actually kind of dirty when we turned on the jets. The cabin was cute and a great space to get away, which is what we wanted!

It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.
