I had such a great experience booking with Carrie at Rooted Recovery. I originally had an issue with a cancellation and she immediately stepped in to help me resolve it. She fully refunded my first booking and made it super easy for me to rebook the night at her Sheep Mountain Site.
Carrie was responsive, kind, and genuinely cared about making sure everything worked out smoothly. The process could’ve been stressful, but she made it simple and seamless. I’m very appreciative of her communication and support.
Highly recommend — the customer service alone is top-tier, and it made me even more excited for my stay on her land.

This place was beautifully remote, yet accessible enough that we could get there without four-wheel drive. The stars at night were just incredible. Our hosts greeted us when we arrived, and there was a space available just for us at the top of the hill. We would probably have seen other campers, had we not been the only ones.

My friends and I had site 5 and 6. There’s a slight slope but not bad at all compared to some other campgrounds I’ve been to. Our two dogs loved the area and enjoyed the space as much or more than we did. There are only two picnic tables to share among the 6 sites. This wasn’t an issue for us since we had the place to ourselves. The gas grill was nice to have. There is a shower hooked up to a hose. It’s not potable water but would work for a rinse off if you’ve been hiking all day. The potable water pump wasn’t working while we were there, but I let Ed know so I’m sure he’s on it. Also the little structure area was so nice for late night card games. The lights in there were much better than using our camping lanterns. Overall we really enjoyed it and would probably go back because the dogs enjoyed it so much.

Nice little getaway! Quiet, sites were well marked, all the advertised amenities were good to go. Got up in the morning, used the Coleman stove to fire up some French press, then went for a beautiful bike ride up around Peak2peak.

My friend and I were new to camping, and this place was perfect. The land was beautiful, the fridge and gas stove made cooking easy, and the host was super helpful—he even showed us how to use the fire pit and water pump. We also loved meeting his sweet dog, Lucy! Highly recommend!

This is our second time camping on Edward’s land and we will most definitely be back! Edward maintains the land perfectly. It is peaceful and feels safe. Only an hour from our house, this is the perfect get away without having to drive too far. We love the amenities and the proximity to Rollinsville’s pizza place and coffee shop + Nederland. Truly a wonderful getaway!

Such a beautiful place, especially during sunrise and sunset! The sky and the mountains were stunning. The location to explore the reservoirs and pike national forest is perfect. It is as listed - sage brush field with a fire pit dug in the ground. Bring everything else!
Recommendations:
I highly recommend bringing some sort of shade structure because the area is very exposed and we wish we listened to their advice to do so! This area can get windy at golden hour but didn't blow anything away as long as it was staked in the ground. There are tiny little cactus so if you plan to sleep in a tent (highly recommend - the stars were beautiful!), bring a tarp to put under your tent foot print - that worked great for us. It was windy one night, so we slept in the car so having both options is ideal. It's a perfect spot for quiet mornings, adventuring out all day, and coming back in the evening for a lovely sunset and fire.
Location:
The location is a little tough to find, it is little beyond where the address drops you if you're coming from Hartsel. There are two small black solar lamps about a foot tall - that will be where you drive your car through into the field and then you'll eventually see the fire pit. There was a tall shovel in the ground next to the fire pit when we got there which helped indicate where to go.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Navi's Sage Run! It was very serene and gave us a much needed break from the real world! Alexander was an amazing host and made himself available if we needed anything. He also gave us some food recommendations. Our dogs also enjoyed the off leash action. We highly recommend this hipcamp location and we'll be back again!

Edward's space was great! It was a beautiful little spot in the trees, and the provided resources (grill, coleman, propane, some cooking utensils, little firepit, hammock, and chairs) were absolutely delightful. Thank you for creating such a great space and wonderful place to stay.
