We are a family-owned 100-acre ranch in the Roaring Fork Valley. We offer four units. Our L’il pond yurt, the “Out of Africa” tent, the “Stargazer” family tent, and our “Cozy Cowgirl” cabin. All of our these are furnished in rustic chic. We are your “Base Glamp” for exploring Maroon Bells, Hanging Lake, the Carbondale Creative District, Redstone Castle, and hot springs galore. This is a great spot on the river, near bike paths and downtown. There were beautiful views and great amenities. Honestly, we caught a great rate for a nightly stay. We would have stayed longer, but the weekly rate was a bit spendy.

We booked after hours on Hipcamp, we just called the after hours contact and they helped us easily to give us the codes for bathrooms and laundry. Make sure to bring quarters for laundry machines. Otherwise our stay was very good :)

Beautiful little campground in a small, quiet town. Wonderful views, and so many stars at night. The bathrooms were clean with lots of space. I liked that the tent sites were at the back of the campground in their own quiet area. I hope to visit again!

All set up with linens, towels, soaps etc. clean and neat. Tiny kitchen. Don’t plan big dinners. There is a grill and propane. No inside table. Small sofa. Very nice loft sleeping area. Bed is very comfortable. Slept great! Bathroom is tiny but fine. No more than 2-3 people for sure. Campground is adorable! Looks like a Western town with all the different tiny homes. Nice outdoor fire pit for all to use. Definitely highly recommend.

1 night at Camp Eddy

Camp Eddy is new, clean, quiet and easy to access. Bring your own rig or rent one of their Airstreams (they have so many different types!) or a charming tiny house. It's right beside the Colorado River. A lovely walking path surrounds the campground and takes you even further if you wish (to the bridge across the river). Several patches of green space (which is nice if you have a dog) - and they also offer a small enclosed Dog Park. There are a variety of sites to choose from as well - with/without hookups, drive-through or back in. The site has new plantings - in a few years it should be lovely when some of the trees start to flourish - and there is no dust (the campground is covered in grey and beige gravel). There are individual restroom/shower rooms (you need a code to access them - and no quarters necessary!) as well as on-site laundry. There is also an area called The Hub - it's indoor/outdoor where you can hang out and look over the River. It's a short drive to downtown and easy access to Colorado National Monument. Just an overall lovely spot. Recommended!

3 nights at Colorado River Animal Sanctuary

What a beautiful place! We have an 18' trailer that had plenty of room. The sites sit right on a mellow stretch of the river. We waded in the water for hours. There is also a stocked fishing pond. My sons caught 10 fish in about 2 hours. So fun for them. The icing on the cake was all the animals that wandered the property. Just know you will likely be camping with others nearby, but the separation is adequate. The only downsides: our entire campsite was literally crawling with ants. They were everywhere. There is ZERO shade. We were cooking in early July. Thankfully we had a pop up canopy to help.

Would recommend for solo female travelers. :) Super safe and spacious RV park with great facilities and scenery. Stayed around the 4th of July weekend, and it didn’t feel too crowded at all even though there were a lot of other campers there.
