Horse ranch and nature conservation area. We have a pond you can float in and horses and mules who live here, as well as elk and pronghorn, and a bear. Dogs are welcome! We love dogs! Off leash is fine as long as they don’t chase the horses (and keep in mind that the mules do chase dogs). There is a gas firepit and a gas grill, sitting areas, a port a potty. There is a flat graded area for tents with a picnic table. We ask that there are no fires except for gas (we are still traumatized by the East Troublesome Fire that was 200,000 plus acres. We did not burn here and we’d like to keep it that way. We also ask that there is no loud music because this is the wild animals’ home first, and the antelope and elk have new babies. We are very close to Granby for the grocery store, restaurants, and the Granby Flying Heels Rodeo. We are nearby to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, Hot Sulfur Springs Resort, Lake Granby and Fraser/Winter Park and all that Grand County Colorado has to offer. Also close by is Granby Ranch for downhill mountain biking and golf. We are about two hours from Denver. Sooo quiet and be peaceful. Super dark at night. Great alternative to tent camping… the bed was very comfortable. It’s decorated really well. I would only recommend a solar shower and better toilet. But, hey, it’s camping. Great place.

Charlene's property was such a great camping experience! Beautiful and peaceful land for a chill time with the family...and our dogs loved running around. The camper was clean and nicely appointed with everything from paper towels to games & coloring books and the trampoline is a fun touch. We would definitely stay again!

My pup and I had a great stay on Charlene's property. It was cool to watch the thunderstorm roll by. The trailer was as described, tidy, and easy to find. The swings are great! We did have a small fire, and appreciated the container, as it is always windy in South Park. There was extra propane, though we never found the Buddy heater. We just used blankets and were fine all night.

Max is so flexible and his campsite is SO convenient when traveling this stretch of I-70! It’s a lovely area to stop. The views are beautiful. Yes, you’re near a highway, but what a beautiful place to be beside a highway! The stars are amazing at night. The moonshine during the day is pretty good too — try Max’s Colorado-grown spirits and his hand-crafted cocktails during business hours and your road-weariness will melt away. Even if you’re not up for a drink, spend some time at the cozy bar enjoying Max’s candor and knowledge of the area, and take a bottle home for yourself — or friends.

Pretty cool little spot! Great for being close to Glenwood springs. Host was really friendly and they make awesome unique cocktails at the distillery. If you’re just boondocking and need a convenient location this is perfect.
