For native American tribes, including the Utes, Apache, Navajos, and others, this valley is considered the source of life, a place where humans and spirit enter and leave this world. Weekend Trip to The Nomad Ranch
Truly enjoyed this slice of heaven. This a ranch in ranch country, and for those seeking beauty and solitude in the great outdoors, it is a prime spot. Robert and Angela are lovely hosts. Directions are well written and the gps coordinates provided are helpful for return trips after your day of adventures. The cabin is very comfortable with stunning views of the mountain range. Starry nights made this location extra special. On site hiking trails are great for a morning stroll to stretch your legs. The cabin is quiet and private. No noisy neighbors and no light pollution. The local area offers hiking, fishing and OHV trails you won’t want to miss. A unique amenity to the area is the SilverWest airport just outside of the quaint town of Westcliffe.
