We recently purchased our very first RV and wanted a private quiet place to test everything out on. This site definitely offered that. Not only is the property quiet, it’s close to a lot of major CO attractions like Cañon City snd the Royal Gorge. It was a perfect place to test our setup out, run to town for things we may have forgotten, etc and Joshua, our host was so nice and quick to respond. He was very helpful when we had a few issues/ questions.

K’s place is very relaxing and you feel like you are out in the country. It’s off the highway and very quiet. There is even a nice little circular trail into the wooded area that me and the family enjoyed walking and riding bikes around. If you need all the amenities this place is not for you. If you just want to relax and not be bothered for a bit, this is the spot.
Host lives on front separate property and is very responsive if you need anything. They will also leave you in peace if you don’t need anything. Would recommend.

Perfectly suited for what we needed. Site was clean. Mountains to the east and west. Good communication and directions from the host.
We had no trouble following the directions to the site. For reference, Google Maps includes the unmarked unnamed dirt road where the site is located. Apple Maps does not besides a little spur.

I loved being here. If you're looking for somewhere to clear your mind and not have people around.. this is it! So much open land to roam around and the dogs had free reign to explore. Only downside I had was the fire ants. Just watch your toes! Host was accommodating and very kind.

Great spot with 360 degree views of the mountains. The space is quiet with no hwy noise heard. Loved the innovative firepit that made it easy to light fires. It is tough to find so be sure to watch your messages for the GPS coordinates for the turnoffs.

We had a great time at Monarch Spur. The host are very attentive and friendly, they obviously spend lots of time and money on the property. The spot was excellent, felt very removed from the central campground and is directly next to the river down a steep slope. The spot is very level and our 24’ camper fit great with lots of space for a larger rigs, level spot with fire ring and new picnic table. The lake and river access are icing on the cake, caught a brown trout in the pond on the second cast. My son loved riding his bike around the park, the playground, and the dogs spent lots of time in the dog park. Mid-May was not busy and we were able explore the large property with a golf cart rental, very fairly priced and fun! Nice little store for the stuff you forgot.
